Help needed! PowerDVD 6 and 7 play perfectly on my XP computer.I decided to upgrade and purchased a retail PowerDVD 8 Ultra. When I try to install it gets through most of the process but near the end flashes that I am missing a .cab file.If I continue I get a 'Fatal error 1628 Failed to complete installation'. I down loaded a trial copy from Cyberlink and got the same result but with a 1630 error. My computer has ample resources for the installation but I cannot complete it.Am I doomed?
Alan
Forgive me but I am a newbie here.I have two versions of Power DVD availble for installation on my XP Home computer-7(2 Channel) and Ultra 8.If I use the SPDIF oulet on both soundcard and PowerDVD does any one version have advantages over the other-disadvantages? I have an external Dolby/DTS 5.1 decoder. Thanks,Alan
My speaker system is a Logitech 5.1 THX arrangement which comes with its own Dolby Prologic II/DTS decoder. How should I configure my 6 speakers in PowerDVD 8? How should I in Windows XP using Creative Audigy ZS? All these decoders! Please help.
