Forgive me but I am a newbie here.I have two versions of Power DVD availble for installation on my XP Home computer-7(2 Channel) and Ultra 8.If I use the SPDIF oulet on both soundcard and PowerDVD does any one version have advantages over the other-disadvantages? I have an external Dolby/DTS 5.1 decoder. Thanks,Alan

I am ne wto this forum as well .Tje two channel version will not allow you two get the full benifte of your 5.1 ch sound system as it only output 2 channels of sound ,also be aware the latest patch for Power DVD 8 ultra disabled the spdif out function and you have to use the 8ch function instead which is a pain. well it did for for me I am unsure if cyberlink are aware of this issue hope this helps you
