Yes, both of your posts have it. You can check the thread to confirm that it uploaded after you submit it.
Your video driver is 2 and a half years old, and I see lots of crashes of different programs at the end of the file. You're also running an older version of Win10, and all of these might be related to your PD issue. This is why the DxDiag file is requested for technical problems.
I would suggest that you visit the Lenovo support site for your laptop. I think this is the right page, and you can click on the Start Scan button and see what updates are available.
If you get any kind of message stating that you have a different system than the page is set up for, enter your serial number in the box at the top to get the correct page.
Once you have the updates in place, see if PD works properly with LUTs.
I did as you instructed and the scan listed 5 driver updates available. I completed those updates restarted and tried it. It crashed again. The software is not useful to me without being able to use luts. I hope tech support can help. I do appreciate your attempts to help. Let me know if uyou have any more suggestions. Thanks.

I opened that dxdiag and every page said no problems found. There were 4 tabs.

When I open the DxDiag I get a box with 4 tabs across the top.

That might be a video driver problem. Can you please folow the steps in the Read Me Before Posting sticky thread and attach the DxDiag results so we can check?
You can also try unchecking both Hardware Acceleration options from the Prefrerences menu, which should look similar to this:
I don't know what you mean by the "read me before posting thread" and where to find the DxDiag. BTW I just tried it and it crashed again. Thanks.

Doing some tests on different Picture Profiles this afternoon. Made some short videos with two different color modes. Did some color correction then tried to import a LUT. As soon as I clicked on the LUT/Color Preset square on fix/enhance, PowerDirector 365 crashed. This has happened 4 times in a row in the past 15-30 minutes. I restarted twice to no avail. I did fill out the trouble shooting form that pops up. Any suggestions?

See this link: https://www.itu.int/rec/R-REC-BT.709/en for BT.709 for hdtv resolution. BT 2020 is for 4k and 8k resolution.
Don’t have a camera yet with the BT 2020 settings. You can try say record 5 seconds on your camera at both settings and let us know if it works in PD18 and if the colors look the same to you. This would help other users who may have the settings in their camera.
Ok I'll try to do that this afternoon. Dreary out right now. After it stops raining

On my camera I have a choice of several different Picture Profiles for video. In these profiles I can choose a Color Mode. Either Rec 709 or BT 2020. Does it make any difference to Cyberlink 365 which one I use to record? Does it support both, convert one to the other or does it do nothing? Thanks in advance.

There is no need to delete PD17, you can leave it there if you wish or delete it.
If you delete, you may need to make sure that any items (PIP objects, titles etc) that you created in PD17 are transferred to the 365 version.
Thanks very much

After further testing, I've found that I also have an issue with the Motion Graphics Tiles Pack. It's built for PD16 and above, so PD17 and PD18 should work. However, in my testing with PD17, the pack doesn't show up at all, even after re-opening it after installing the pack, or after uninstalling and reinstalling the pack from the App Manager.
Like OP, I see the pack is installed exactly where it is on PDM 's machine, however that's a completely different folder than where all my other (and fully visible) packs are, which is C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\Templates\Creative Design Pack\
I tried moving the files to the same folder as the other packs, but PD still didn't display the Motion Graphics Titles
I then looked in the registry, and found that the pack info was also stored in a completely different branch: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\PluginPack\Creative Design Pack\Motion Graphics Title Pack] instead of where all the others are, which is [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\CyberLink...
I exported the Motion Graphics key, then changed the location to match the other packs, and applied the fixed key by double-clicking on it. This time, PD show the content correctly, but I don't know if this is related to PD17 being installed or not. Basically, it doesn't matter where the files are located as long as the registry key is in the right section.
The fixed key is attached, and you can and should open it in a text editor to confirm that there isn't anything unexpected before applying it. By all means, make a backup copy of the entire registry (RegEdit, File | Export... All) before applying this fix!
Note that if the moderator doesn't want to have a registry fix attached here in the forum, please PM me.
I have solved my issue and it turned out to be something very simple. As I said before I recently upgraded from PD 17 to 365. Yesterday when opening PD then clicking on the logo I discovered that I was opening PD 17, which still resides on my computer. I guess I assumed that when getting 365 it would "overwrite" the other and only PD 365 would be available. That's not the case. I still am not sure if I should delete PD 17 and is it "safe" to do so. Any comments on that issue would be appreciated. Thanks for all your efforts.

Hi,
If the new MGT pack is downloaded and installed correctly via CAM, then the newly installled MGTs did not show for me until I shut down and re-started PDR18.
If they are correctly installed, there should be 44 MGTs available in all Aspect Ratios.
On my system they are installed here, if you need to check further:
C:\Program Files\CyberLink\templates\Creative Design Pack\Motion Graphics Title Pack\Titles
Cheers

I checked and like you said I found the Title pack in the correct file structure location. But it is not on the list of choices in the PD software in the Title Room. So it does exist on my computer but not in PD program. By the way I had Power Director 17 before then decided to get 365 which I did a short while back. I went to the control panel and I see that PD 17 is still installed. Would this make any difference? Should I delete it? Thanks.

To find the Motion Graphics Titles, click on the title room or F7
You can see the Motion Graphics category (see the attached image.
That doesn't appear on my list

As a 365 subscriber, I just downloded a free "Motion Graphics Titles." I confused as to where this goes. When I go to the Title Room I don't see anything listed with that name. And I cannot find the file/folder location. Are the new titles simply mixed in with what I already have? Or are they somewhere listed separately? Thanks.

I agree with tomasc, and in addition, whenever you overwrite the original audio for a clip, PD no longer treats the clip the same way as it does intact clips. Even if you right-click and choose Link/Unlink Video and Audio to link them, you can't access any of the normal tools unless you unlink the two sections. I believe you're running into a similar issue regarding gaps.
It would probably help to see a screen capture of what you're trying to do, but that fact that removing the audio works as expected tells me that the audio replacement is probably the issue.
You can try simply unlinking the new audio and see if removing the gap works (rather than deleting it). You may also try moving it to another track, or somewhere out of the way so it won't interfere with the gap removal.
You can also highlight the modified clip and use Range Produce to create a fully intact form, then overwite the modified clip on the timeline with the newly-produced version. From that point on, PD will treat that as a normal clip.
I just moved the audio to track 2 instead of track 1 and now I am able to fill the gap. Yes it did have something to do with the way PD handled the audio that overwrote the native audio on the clip. Thank you very much for the advice and help.

|
When editing I cannot fill the gap if I remove a clip. None of the choices work. However if I remove the associated audio that goes with that clip, the commands work as expected. If it makes any difference, I overwrote the original audio with a downloded piece of music. I'm stumped.
