Ah, Ok

(Don't these things ever get tested before release?)

Is this true? I read on the net that the latest update patch just released has disabled all blu-ray disc playback.

Luckily I haven't (and now won't) install the patch. Have Cyberlink introduced an accidental "bug" that removes PowerDVD Ultra's MAIN FEATURE?

If not a mistake, then I will want a refund of my purchase price since I only bought the Ultra version because I wanted to play my blu-ray discs on my PC......

I have downloaded and installed the latest PowerDVD v8.00.1730.50 update patch.

Why, then, does the program flash a notification from the system tray that "a new update patch is available" everytime I start the program running?

Clearly, some registry entry has not been properly updated by the latest patch, otherwise something weird is going on. What's the point of this notification if it isn't accurate?

YEah well, not much response from the official Tech Support route either - 2 days and they still haven't replied to my "Inquiry"

Nigel
Can anyone else confirm this problem, or is it just me?

Maybe no-one uses anything other than the default skin.

Where are the downloadable skins??

I just get an empty box and a disabled download button when I open the list box of downloadable skins.

??????????????????

Yes the exact same thing happened to me as well this weekend - an error has been encountered generating a license number.

They state they will contact me within 24 hours by email to "provide the necessary information"; but the time is almost up, and so far I have STILL had nothing.

Are you listening Cyberlink?

I would like access to the product I have paid for!!!

Under Vista, playing blu-ray films on cyberlink powerdvd ultra v7.3 causes Vista Aero to flicker & drop-back to Vista Basic.

I understand that NVidia have fixed this in the latest NVidia drivers (for the 9000 series cards) but only if the playback software is re-written to be aware of the new drivers.

I have just upgraded to PowerDVD Ultra v8 but this STILL causes the Aero dropback with my current NVidia drivers (v174.31) on my Dell m1710 (Go 7950GTX graphics).

Does anyone know of any newer drivers for the 7950GTX that fix this problems and allows Aero compatible blu-ray playback? Also, does PowerDVD Ultra v8 now fix this problem with the correct NVidia drivers?

Thanks
NigelS

I just bought and successfully paid for an upgrade to PDVD8 Ultra but the confirmation said "An error occurred during the generation of your license key."

I have received email confirmation of purchase, but no key.

What do I do now?
