"Upgrade Available" startup notification...

I have downloaded and installed the latest PowerDVD v8.00.1730.50 update patch.

Why, then, does the program flash a notification from the system tray that "a new update patch is available" everytime I start the program running?

Clearly, some registry entry has not been properly updated by the latest patch, otherwise something weird is going on. What's the point of this notification if it isn't accurate?

I'm having the same problem, well more of an annoyance really but still just takes that much longer to get the movie started.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It should be fixed now, after the server has time to refresh. We apologize for interupting your movie viewing pleasure.

Thanks

It is NOT fixed. This seems to be a general Cyberlink "spam" issue - I have the most recent versions of Power DVD and a lot of other programs from Cyberlink. Just started MediaEspresso. Same issue. A GENERAL notification about a new version pops up - and directs you to a GENERAL Cyberlink software upgrade web page. Run the upgrade option from Mediaespresso and got the message that no upgrades were available. Cyberlink - you spam your paying customers.
