I have powerdvd since 3 years now, i had powerdvd 7.3 ultra, powerdvd 8 ultra, powerdvd 9 ultra and now powerdvd 10 ultra. When i use powerdvd 10 ultra with the last drivers (auzentech rc4.5 + nvidia 197.13 ) sometime the picture freeze but if i play the same blu-ray with the same drivers but with the graphic card directly to the yamaha av-receiver and the sound with optical cable no problem, so the problem come's from powerdvd or auzentech, not from the disc !!
My graphic card is a nvidia gtx275, what graphic card do you have.
Thank you.
Hi, i have more new's for you,

- i have tried with powerdvd 9 ultra patch 2227 9.0.2227.0
SR number: DVD091022-07 and i have no problem with dts hd or dolby digital true hd " hdmi Non-decoded high-definition audio to external device " and no problem with " hdmi pcm decoded by powerdvd " in hd but with patch 2320 or 2528 the problem come's back like powerdvd 10 ultra 3d.

- Also for the color setting in video advanced settings menu in patch 2227 it's ok but with patch 2320 and 2528 and with powerdvd 10 ultra 3d i can't change the color setting.

- when i read blu-ray or dvd with dolby digital 5.1 or dts 5.1 sound with " hdmi Non-decoded Dolby Digital/DTS audio to external device " option powerdvd the sound come's out in 5.1 with no problem but if i choose 'hdmi pcm decoded by powerdvd " the sound come's out only in 2 channels, on my yamaha av receiver it say's pcm 2.0 96khz but in powerdvd information osd it say's lpcm 48khz 16bits 6 channels, this problem is with powerdvd 9 ultra patch 2227, 2320, 2528 and with powerdvd 10 3d ultra.
i alos have powerdvd 9 with patch 2227 and with this pacth i can change the color setting with blu ray and dvd but after that patch (2528, 2320) the problems come back.
Hi, i have now a auzentech hometheater hd sound card and powerdvd 10 ultra. When i use powerdvd to read blu ray with dolby true hd or dts hd blu ray or dolby digital or dts sometime the picture freeze and sometime both the sound and the picture. This problem is with all my blu ray fast and furious, fast and furious 4, tokyo drift, into the blue, antartica, etc,...
My tv is a sharp lcd lc-46dh77ec with hdmi 1.3 , Yamaha av receiver rx-v465 with hdmi 1.3 and auzentech hometheater hd sound card (driver auzentech rc4.5) and a nvidia gtx275 graphic card hdmi ( nvidia driver 196.21 and 197.13 tested with both).

i also have another problem when i play dvd or blu ray in dolby digital or dts 5.1 and i use powerdvd setting hdmi and pcm powerdvd i only have 2 ch on my av receiver but in powerdvd information it says 6 ch, so problem but in dts hd or dolby true hd no problem with pcm powerdvd.

Also in powerdvd video advanced setting it is impossible to change the color setting.

I had made a clean install of windows 7 64 bits and installed nvidia 191.07 driver with cyberlink powerdvd 9 ultra 2320 and still the same problem so the problem come's from powerdvd, i think powerdvd isn't able to use the color setting.
I also notice that in advanced video settings menu i can't change the color control setting since patch 2320.
Hi, since i have installed powerdvd 9 ultra patch 2320 i have two problems :

1) the truetheater effect icon button on the bottom of cyberlink windows near more functions button disappear when i read a dvd, before patch 2320 i had no problem.

2) since patch 2320 when i read a blu ray the color are very light and the black aren't very dark, i use nvidia gtx 275 with 195.62 driver.

New answer from Cyberlink :
Dear Jean,

Thank you for writing back.

In response to your issue we would like to inform you that if your Windows 7 operating system is in the Aero mode then the PowerDVD software will change it to the Basic mode.

This is a default feature of the PowerDVD software that it changes the Aero mode to the Basic mode when it is launched.

We regret to inform you that there is no way to change the settings.

Cyberlink isn't smart
I had the same answer.

Now they ask to me to reinstall powerdvd 9 build 1501 after patch 2010 and after patch 2201.

It still don't work. It seem's that cyberlink doesn't know how to resolve this problem on windows 7.

On windows vista still no problem.
I have send a support ticket to cyberlink, we are going to see what they are going to say now because if a gtx 275 isn't enough powerful , what do i need three sli gtx 295
Now it's Windows 7 home premium edition because when i ask to cyberlink support the first answer was you must wait windows 7 RTM and after when i had windows 7 RTM tell told to me that it was my graphic card who wasn't enough powerfull but my graphic card is a nvidia gtx 275 and with windows vista no problem.
So i hope that Cyberlink is going to do a patch to resove this problem quickly !!!!
Hi,
I have installed windows 7 home premium edition 64 bits and powerdvd 9 ultra patch 2201 and nvidia driver 191.07 but when i want to read a blu-ray windows aero is disabled and when i stop playing the blu-ray aero comes back.

In powerdvd blu-ray advanced setting menu i have uncheck the option that let powerdvd diabled aero.

In windows vista there is no problem.

So the problem comes from powerdvd !!

With Windows 7 and arcsoft totalmedia theatre 3 or with corel windvd 2010 pro aero stay's on.
With Arcsoft totalmedia no problem, so i think that cyberlink must resolve this problem quickly because powerdvd 9 ultra have the best picture quality but with aero off it's really stupid having this problem.
Hi,
I have installed windows 7 rtm 64 bits and powerdvd 9 ultra patch 2029 and nvidia driver 190.62 but when i want to read a blu-ray windows aero is disabled and when i stop playing the blu-ray aero comes back.

In powerdvd blu-ray advanced setting menu i have uncheck the option that let powerdvd diabled aero.

In windows vista there is no problem.

So i think the problem comes from powerdvd or nvidia driver !!!!!
