Wow, it's solved in v13
Finally someone listened to me, Thank you
Please add this ability to turn on/off this feature. It's still unsolved:

Quote: THANK YOU Korrigan!

It doesn't relate to Aero on/off and Aero is always on.
I'm talking about this checkbox:

Yep, that's it - and you are right, PDVD turns it off, and sometimes, even without crashing, fails to turn it back on. Same behavior here on my system.

Exactly!
THANK YOU Korrigan!

It doesn't relate to Aero on/off and Aero is always on.
I'm talking about this checkbox:

It happens to every program and it's not the problem.
The problem is that PowerDVD shouldn't disable the shadow under windows.
There's no reason to touch the windows settings!
@Korrigan: it's not the thing I said.

@stevek: GPU: HD7770 / OS: Windows 7 x64 SP1
Sometimes, PowerDVD crashes and I had to enable it manually which is painful.
There's no reason to disable the shadow under windows!
I have noticed that "PowerDVD12Agent.exe" handles drag and drop feature.
If I disable it, I can't play any video through drag and drop.
Why did you split this important feature into another file and not the main exe program?
PowerDVD changes the master volume of windows which is very bad.
Each program should have their own volume control!
Please force PowerDVD not to disable "Show shadow under windows"
It's very annoying and doesn't save any resource. You have to disable other running exe files instead...
It's Build 2516
I just opened the program and left it for 15-20min without doing anything.
You're right. Though the SVRT color is red, I can choose SVRT in Produce page.
I set the clip's AR to 16:9 in timeline and produced via SVRT and it worked

Thank you!
1. DVB-S set-top
2. Gigabyte U8300
3. Composite Input

I tried the bundled software (with their problems) and VideoStudio but PowerDirector has superior quality.
It would be great if it had more options for capturing
The source is a set-top box not VHS.
And the bundled program has problem with capturing.
Because the analog source is 16:9
The program crashes if I leave it idle or after a few minutes.
It should be related to Radeon GPU module!?
Yes, but how can I do it?
If I import the captured 4:3 video to 16:9 project, SVRT won't work.
I have chosen 16:9 but the video is still 4:3 and SVRT can't be used!
I'm using Build 2516. So can you choose MPEG4 or 16:9 is Profile?
First time, I burnt a 2gb file and didn't close the disc. Next time, burnt another 2gb and closed the disc.
Then, I noticed that the first session is gone. I even tried to open with Imgburn but said that can't read closed multi-session discs.
Glad IsoBster could bring back the first session. Please fix it
PowerDirector can't capture in 16:9 from VCR source unlike VideoStudio.
I can't choose MPEG4 format for recording too
What information? Just downloaded the latest trial version and patch.
It won't apply at all.
