I wish PowerDVD12 will solve the problem of the previous version but it did not.
Bloatwares when you run and it connects to internet.
So many processes, memory hug.
Laggy user interface like when you right-click or choose an option from menu.
And so on...
The program should be rewritten. It's the only way.
Platform, drivers... believe or not, the problem is your software!
The problem is making money and it's not only CyberLink.
I spent a lot of my time with ticket-support to explain the way to fix a small problem.
But I knew later that I was talking with... Those solutions are dead.
Let's fix your problems or you'll lose your customers.
We're here to help the team but seems useless.
Anyway, I can report most of the problems if you really want to fix them.
Let me say more more time that I like CyberLink and that's why I said them.
For example, Power2Go 8 works very fast, lightweight but PowerDVD 11.
You have good partners, so keep it #1
Don't waste you time. I was using v10 but v11 gets so buggy and laggy.
They won't fix anything at all. That's why I left it, also poor CPU playback quality.
Now I just use Power2Go 8.
I have the latest drivers and updates.
I recorded the sound files through "Stereo Mix" 1:1 @ 16bit/48KHz wav.
The source music video's audio track is LPCM 2.0 1536kbps 16/48:
1. Sometimes it distorts sound because of increasing the bass.
It must reduce the source volume before applying the effect <0db
So even decreasing the main volume in PowerDVD won't help.
2. When I use the seek bar to change the playing time, I get an annoying echo effect.
It just happens in the latest PowerDVD 10 build 2429.51 (not sure about v2325)
I've this problem only when TrueTheater is enabled.
I played a lot with deinterlacing methods. First it got even worse but now it's smooth.
I don't know what's exactly the problem because I'm using the default settings now.
Any idea?
I tested with a 1080 H.264 video which had serious problem.
I tried to play some HD video files (mpeg2,h.264) but when I switch to fullscreen mode, the video doesn't plays smoothly.
Please fix this annoying problem
LPCM plays faster than normal and noisy while Dobly 5.1 plays without problem.
I'm sure the problem is LPCM in PowerDVD.
Next time, I tried to play "VTS_01_1.VOB" directly with PowerDVD and it worked fine with both LPCM and Dolby.
