Thanks for the screen capture. Believe it or not, the key is that you also have to select (click on) one of the two channels. You only clicked on the Single Channel mode button.
That should do it!
Very much appreciate all the help. Not sure where we're at. I have attached a small sample file as an example.

Another option that may work for you is to use the "TrueTheater Surround" feature within the produce tab or create disc tab which will render a left or right audio only to both left and right channels. You can use like the living room setting.

Thanks all, but it seems in PD 17 with audio editor, you can't select a channel of audio and copy it? Is this correct? If so, is PD17 audio editing features less that past versions?

If you mean TRUE stereo, that's not possible. Stereo is two separately-recorded audio sources.
Or do you mean you just want to spread, say, audio from the left channel over both channels?
I just need to copy one mono channel to the other to have 2 channel mono.
Thanks

I don't think you can actually delete any recorded sections if you go back in to the MC Designer. You can click on the output track and switch cameras, drag each starting and ending edge forward or backward, add a split, or re-record over any section, but you can't delete anything you've already recorded.
This post has the details on re-entering the MC Designer if you've unfamiliar with how to do that.
You can delete any unwanted sections of the MC clip directly on the main timeline, but be aware that if you decide to go back into the MC Designer for any reason, the main timeline edits will disappear and your original MC edits will be restored.
I am a new user and created a multicam video, but need to delete a section. I can't do it in multicam and I can't do it in the main timeline without losing the multicam editing capability. This is a major limitation. I think I need to look for other editors that have this capability. Also, I wanted to use different audio for different parts of the multicam sections and could not figure out how to do this.
