No, if it is in preview, it will be in Video.
What exactly did you do?
Which videoclip on track1? Which title from titleroom on track2? Same time?
And then the black background from the title covers the video clip?
Can you provide a snapshot of your timeline?
Hatti
didnt read your original reply close enough ... my bad
I was just dropping it on the video instead of making a new track
Thanks for the help
i put my text ontop of the clip and it was black. i did not realise i had to put the text on another track.

I have PD13, purchased PD16 today. I have two questions.
1. Do I need the 32 bit files if I have a 64 bit version of Windows 7.
2. Do I need to uninstall PD13 before I install PD16 or do I have to have PD13 on the computer before my upgrade will install?
Well, I figured out that you do not need the 32 bit files if you have a 64 bit system.
Additionally, make sure you keep the email sent to you by Cyberlink. It contains both keycodes for the PD16 and the audio editor as well as links to the files and the order in which they should be installed. Running the first file uninstalls the previous version of PD before installing PD16. Sometimes you just have to figure these things out for yourself I guess.
last night i bought PD 16 ultra, i uninstalled my old 13 version and then installed the 16 version also installing the hoilday and travel packs and the essensials pack..every thing seems to be working fine..

PD16 is installed on my G:\ProgramFiles.
Where should the Essentials and the other necessary downloads go?
The Essentials exe installed itself on the G:\Program Files (x86) and I couldn't see anything in the library. So I uninstalled and am hoping for direction from the Comunity. Please!!
I think should do the default installation, normal in C: \ Program Files \ CyberLink \ PowerDirector16
Package effects will be in C: \ Users \ "name of your PC" \ Documents \ CyberLink \ PowerDirector \ 16.0
i also got the Essentials package with my copy.. what are the essentials for ?. and how do i know they have been installed.

hello all, iam new to power director and would like to know how to fade in and fade out text over a clip, when i put text over a clip the text just comes on and goes off, i would like the text to fade in and fade out not just cut off at the end.
2 click on the text block, open Title Designer, Effect Button, find in Starting effect "FADE" the same for Ending Effect.
You can also add FADE transition directly at the beginning and end of the text block
thankyou.. will give this a try latter tonight.
