I have PD13, purchased PD16 today. I have two questions.

1. Do I need the 32 bit files if I have a 64 bit version of Windows 7.

2. Do I need to uninstall PD13 before I install PD16 or do I have to have PD13 on the computer before my upgrade will install?

Well, I figured out that you do not need the 32 bit files if you have a 64 bit system.
Additionally, make sure you keep the email sent to you by Cyberlink. It contains both keycodes for the PD16 and the audio editor as well as links to the files and the order in which they should be installed. Running the first file uninstalls the previous version of PD before installing PD16. Sometimes you just have to figure these things out for yourself I guess.

Did you lose any of the extras like old menus, transitions, etc. from PowerDirector earlier versions? Sometimes they do get lost in the uninstallation. .

Did you ever use the 32 bit files?
