both Blu-Ray's.
As I wrote, 24p autoswitch work for video with 23,976fps, not work for 24.000fps
Of course my TV support 24p (Sony Bravia TV)
It's a bug.
Thank you, I will contact with Cyberlink.

I tested it on Blu-Ray "Samsara" ISO movie first and not work with this movie and this movie is 24p, I tried now other movie Blu-Ray ISO and yes on other movie it work but notification about change refresh rate is very very late only when main movie begin (on PDVD17 is much earlier on menu), also when refresh rate changed to 24Hz video start slutters. This happen on all movies which I tried.
So it's total crap this new version.
I unistalled it, installed latest PDVD17 with latest patch and now autoswitch work fine with Samsara movie, no problems with sluttering and others Blu-Ray's.
But of course still it's a bug with PDVD17 with this Samsara movie, when changed refresh rate to 24Hz then main top menu buttons dissapear, so I even can't select to start movie, but this happen only with this movie.
But for example on Total Media Theatre 6 there was no any problems like in PDVD17, 18.
Testing on Sony Bravia TV with Intel HD4600 (with latest drivers), Win7 64bit.
Cyberlink where do you have good beta testers ?

New latest update 1808.60 and still nothing was fixed, what are you doing Cyberlink !! why do you not fix bugs.
|
|
@Cyberlink - please reply and fix this
|
|
Auto refresh rate switching is necessary, same as in traditional stationary Blu-Ray players
|
|
PDVD17 it's really bad in autoswtiching to 24p, On my configuration even at normal Blu-Ray's cannot chagne to 24p when is connected through my AVR. On Total Media Theatre 6 everything work fine.
Cyberlink should concentrate on this much more and fix this, because for me player without corectly autoswtiching TV to 24p mode it's total useless crap software.

Thank you very much for reply, but what adjustmens I can do on this configuration ? I think there is no way to fix this by any adjusments I looked everywhere, everything is set corectlly.
Everything It's connected through HDMI cables between HTPC - AVR - TV.
HTPC is Intel iGPU HD4600 with latest drivers (Windows 7 64bit)
TV Sony Bravia is set to Scene on 24p Auto Mode
AVR Onkyo 905 is set to Resolution to "Through"
If something would be wrong in this configuration then it would be not work in TMT6, but work perfectly fine.

i have a problem with PDVD17 because do not work autoswitching to 24p mode on my TV (Sony Bravia W800B) when is connected through Onkyo 905 amplifier.
Amplifier settings are corectlly set HDMI Output resolution to "Through" and I'm sure this working because in Total Media Theatre 6 work without any problem, TV is nicely switched to 24p during playing Blu-Ray movies, so it's definetly a PDVD17 software problem.
But what I noticed when I connect directly to TV then it's works, but through amplfier never work in PDVD17 . using latest build.
Please Cyberlink fix this.

It's not a driver it's a bug!, I tested this on two computers, one with Nvidia GPU, second with Intel iGPU both latest drivers, same bug, no menu displaying on Samsara Blu-Ray (german version) movie.
Menu is but no displaying menu buttons.
This bug is cause by autoswitch to 24p display I can tell you. What is wrong with this software is how it change to 24p, do this too long and only when detect 24p video, thats cause the problem what I noticed, when I disable autoswitch to 24p then menu is displaying fine.
For example other software like TMT6 work without any problems, display menu correctly, autoswitch to 24p also work, and autoswitching work different compare to PDVD, switch to 24p imediatlly when I hit PLAY button.
You definetliy should focus on better autoswitching to 24p, also I think you should add option to on/off this in playback options.
Also what I noticed as I remeber, autoswtich to 24p do not work anymore if bitstream to AVR is, so for me it's useless software.
So please focus on this and fix this player. Thank you.

I noticed bug, when auto refresh rate switch TV to 24Hz/24p then there is not proper displaying main menu buttons in "Samsara" movie Blu-Ray.
When PDVD17 do not change refresh rate to 24p and displaying at 60Hz then main menu is work fine.
Also add Auto Refresh Rate options to enable and disable in Settings, also auto refresh rate should work from begining when I hit Play button not when detected this framerate same like in Arcsoft TMT.
Please fix this.
Thank You.
