Thanks for all the advice. I did what I wanted using Cyberlink Audiodirector 7 to extract and reverse the audio track and extracted the video track with PWD. I then loaded both into PWD, linked them and produced the mp4.
This seems to have been completely successful.

I'd probably see if the issue occurs with a little more current produce format, try H.264 and mimic source clip details.

If that does not work, attach a pic of your timeline and source media details (MediaInfo text) so one might get a glimpse into why the issue.

Jeff

I have tried the H.264 but am not sure what you mean by mimic source clip details, unless it is make sure the framerates are the
same, which I did.

Mediainfo data is

Again, I assume that by timeline you mean a screenshot of PWD showing the clip (?)
I attach that.

Thanks for the reply.
I did as shown on the png, ie Power tools, video in reverse then Produce to AVI.
Playing the resultant file showed the audio problems I mentioned. The audio is very 'choppy' and drops
out completely at times.
Should I have done anything else ? As you can guess I am new to all this.

Playing in reverse within PWD has all the audio with no choppiness, lagging or dropping. It would appear that
the problem lies with the Produce activity.

I assume you are probably referring to timeline playback and audio lag. If you "Produce" the timeline to your preferred file format it should be okay. Or if you want it to playback in the timeline edit mode, try using the "Render Preview" feature and/or reduce timeline "Preview Quality" setting.

Thanks for the reply.
It worked as far as the picture was concerned, but the audio started off ok but then was anything up to 2-3 seconds out of synch
or disappeared completely.
Is there any way round this ?
TIA
Quote The answer is yes if you have the full retail version of PD15.

I do have the full retail version. How is it done ? I can only find references to playing forward then reverse, not how to do
what I want.
Is it possible to load a video file into PWD15 and save it out reversed? ie. the original start as the end and the original end as the start.
TIA

Quote Help/About Cyberlink says PowerDirector LE 14.0.2820.0. Maybe thats the reason.

Not aware that the LE version of PD14 being available anywhere. Let us know how it is obtained.

From here.

http://sharewareonsale.com/s/cyberlink-powerdirector-sale

Just noticed it says LE edition
Quote Do you have the full version of Power Director 14 or do you have the trial or OEM version? Both of those are limited in what they can or cannot do.

If you have the full version, go here (link) and tell us what the Build Number and Serial Number are.

I assume you are using a USB port on the back of your computer and not one in the fromt or via a hub.

I don;t have that device but I have two other devices that work well. I have , in the past used different devices and they would not work with other than the software that comes with the device OR one very similar.

Hello all

Has anyone any experience of using PD14 to capture video froma Dazzle DVC100 device ?

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/50308.page mentions using a diamond multimedia one touch video capture VC 500 to capture, which is a similar device to the Dazzle, eg. USB2

I open PD14 and select Capture

I get a message saying Initialising Analog device

In the captured content windows get Line(Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device)

In Settings - Video setup Capture Device is shown as 001 - only one in dropdown.

Device resolutions dropdown is blank.

Audio device shown as Line (Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device)

Select Advanced settings - nothing happens

Audio input is greyed out

Mixer - Record tab is Line Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device

Capture options are

Capture from HDV Cancorder get Your version doesn't support this feature. Upgrade and enjoy complete set ot features.

Capture from a webcam - nothing happens

Capture from a microphone get Detecting audio device - no sound captrured

Can PD14 capture from a DVC100? I have Pinnacle Studio 15, AVSVideoRecorder and Serif MoviePlus X6, all of which can capture from the DVC100, but I think that the more capture options I have the better.
