Ok, I discovered clicking on fix, allows me to use my presets from CD, from within PD. Now I can cook with gas
Thank you sir.
For those of you that have both, what's the most efficient way to work? I'm new to Color Director. (PD too, but had it a few months before CD) My question specifically is, do you normally produce the entire video in PD, and then edit it in CD, or, CD first, and then PD. I've got Drone footage, that I cut up into 5 to 15 second clips (mostly 10ish) After slicing and dicing, I decided to edit them in CD, only, it will only let me do 1 clip at a time. With normal footage, it's not a big deal, I might have 4 or 5 large clips, but, with the drone footage, I've got a bunch, so there's no way I want to go back and forth between PD and CD over and over. I originally thought it best to start with CD, but, I usually try to make a 5 or 6 minute video, out of an hour of footage, give or take. As much time as it takes to produce, I didn't want to process 50 minutes of video in CD, that's not going to be used. Can you link clips together and then edit, or, is there a super secret batch mode? wink
Quote: Actually, three of the companies accept WMV, MP4 and Mov. However, the fourth one will actually broadcast the show in HD while the other three do not have that capability yet.

I ran into a glitch today while removing parts of a movie. Once I remove it, whether I choose to fill gap or not, the sound waves will not sync correctly. Any thoughts about that? I have about 40 clips on the time line, so maybe its on overload or something?

Remember, your audio/music tracks are running paralell with your video track. If you simply "split" the video, your corresponding audio tracks running paralell will be fine. If you "cut" chunks of video out, the same size chunk(s), will be cut from your audio. Or, maybe I misunderstood you.
Thank you all very much. I have a lot to learn
If you drag an effect directly to the timeline, is it editable? Are multiple effects editable?
Since you can only use 1 effect on the timeline, would I be correct in assuming, that in order to use multiple effects, you have to apply it, produce it, reload the clip/movie, and then add an additional effect? Rinse, repeat, for even more effects?
Awesome! Thanks mucho. I wondered what those were for. Guess I'll have to search to find out what else they're useful for. Part of the reason it's taking me so long, learning and editing/producing at the same time.
I'm going through some old video, and I have scenes of my father, before he died, and mother, before she got alzhiemers. I was wondering, if there's a way to produce an individual clip in the timeline, without removing all the other clips, in the timeline. Obviously the clips will be in the final production, I guess I just get excited, and want to share some bits with family, since I have limited time, and the end product will take a while.
