It looks fabulous as a wmv!

Thanks so much for your help,

Janis
Thanks for all your advice. I will try that and get back to you.

I really appreciate the help!

Janis
Hi,
I checked and it was 32 bit, so I downloaded the 64 bit 7.78.80.95 and installed it. I tried again and it and I still got the error message. Now what? This is very frustrating.
I do appreciate any help you can give me.

Janis
Here is the wmv horrible file.

J

  • I have attached the text file 64 bit. That is the only only that I could find.

  • I played the video instead of producing it. That was not the only reason I couldn't| save it.
I have included a part of a video to show how great it looked in the preview.

  • When I did try to produce it, I received an error message. It asked me to check if my graphics driver,
Quicktime, and Windows Player are up to date. I did and they were. It didn't help. I have attached a
    screen shot.

  • What is really weird is that the wmv did render and I was able to save it, but it looked fine in the preview,
and is really bad especially with the effects. I have attached it as well.

I hope you can figure this out because I am at a loss.

Thanks,

Janis
Hi,

Thanks for the help. I did everything you showed me in the diagram. Instead of saving as an mp4, it saved as a wmv and it looks horrible. I have done this before in an earlier version of Cyberlink and I had no trouble. It looks fine in the preview. I do not know what to do now.
I don't understand why my video won't save. I rendered it and looked for the folder that it was suppose to be in, but the folder wasn't there. I made a folder where it should be and rendered it again and nothing was in that folder either. I set it
to MP4 and 30 speed. I don't know what else to do.

Please help,

Janis
I really appreciate the help.

Hi Why Not Fish,

I just saw the video you sent. How did you get all the "Keyframes?" on the bottom. That must have been the difference.

I can get the gif to a track but it is such a short time that it is like a flicker. so what do I do to get it to work like your sample?
I will try to do a screen capture.
Hi Tony,

I can't get it to work. I was able to convert another one, but neither that gif or the one you gave me worked.

I couldn't get it on to the first tract. There was a red circle with a line through it. I did get it on the pip track but it just flashed and didn't show on the track. If I click on the space it was suppose to be in, a gray block came up. I don't get this,

Janis
May pleasse have the steps you took to make it work (especially the transparent background)?
I have a couple more gifs to work with.

Thanks so much for your help!

Janis
I will attach one of the images.

Thanks for the reply,

Janis
I have a couple of animated gifs that I want to included in a book trailer video. Powerdirctor won't accept the gif because it only has three frames. I converted it to mov, mp4 and avi and none of them work. Supposedly Power DDirector accepts gif. I thought it accepted the video formats as well. The images are different graphics of a Fairy with wings on her shoes. The wings are animated. Hope someone can help.

Thanks
I will try that.

Thanks.

Janis
Thanks So much. That seemed to work. How do I set the timing of the last image so it remains on the screen while the credits are scrolling? That is all I need to know to finish this project.

I appreciate the prompt responses I have received. Thanks for the help.

Janis
I am editing a book trailer video I made a long time ago using PowerDirector 10. I need to edit it to change the book cover. The front cover is fine. I was able to remove the old cover and replace it with the new cover. The ending is a problem. In the original video, I had scrolling vertical credits that were an overlay on the old book cover. I am trying to remove the old cover at the end and have credits scrolling on the last frame of the video insztead of a cover image. Every time I remove the cover at the end and try to lengthen the time that the last frame stays on the screen, the old cover comes back. I have removed it, cut it, and deleted it and it still comes back. I am doing this editing using PowerDirector 13.

How do I permanently get rid of the old cover and extend the timing on the closing frame so it stays on the screen while the credits are scrolling?

I would really appreciate help with this.

Thanks,

Janis
I created a book trailer using PD10. Now the author wants me to change the cover image which is the first frame of the video. It has a great flip right transition to the next clip. The whole thing is rendered. I was able to remove the book cover frame. When I tried to put the transition between the new cover and the rest of the video, it didn't work. There was only a dark screen between the cover and the start of the video. How do I dix this?
