Quote Opacity control - yes.

Maybe you should post future PhD questions in the PhotoDirector forum laughing

Cheers - Tony

Yes, true, but I'm also referring to Cyberlink help and Youtube/Cyberlink. Type in PhotoDirector and get lots of answers for powerdirector.

Quote G'day Tom -

Wow - this thread is so old the answers above aren't necessary with recent versions of PDR.

It may be true that some elements of PDR & PhD have similar characteristics, but an answer for one (I think) wouldn't usually help with the other.

In PhotoDirector, to do what you're asking about "lower thirds" you can go to Edit > Layers & do all sorts of things. If you're talking about the Slideshow part of PhD, it's pretty limited.

See quick example attached...

Cheers - Tony

Tony:

Yes, that's it. A background to set off the letters,. Hopefully opacity can be adjusted.
I'll play with it. Thanks!
My issue is creating a colored background for titles in Photo Director so they will stand out more from the photo. On a related question, why is it that when I ask questions about Photo Director, most of the answers pertain to Power DIrector?

Hi, thanks for responding. Attached is an example. I've also tried this after removing the background on the overlay and still get an outline of the original overlay visible on the background. Thanks, Tom

(I sent as an attachment because this window does not allow pasting a screenshot.)
Quote I think we really need to see what you're working with. Take a screenshot of your timeline, save it as a JPG/PNG and use the Attachments button under the forum's text box to upload it

I would think this a common problem. Background in this case is full sized and B&W. Overlay is smaller and color. I want to blend the top layer in with the background. Now there are parallel margins of the overlay that delineate the two photos. Thanks, Tom
Cannot edit multiple audio clips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been four years since this issue was brought up. Why doesn't CYberlink fix this?
If this gets to anyone with any influence, then if Cyberlink wants to remain competitive, then they have to fix this major problem I would never have purchased this program if the reviews had revealed that audio editing was so tedious. Look, any video of any length requires multiple edits. It's not practical for production work to have to go clip by clip adjusting audio, boosting, adjusting pitch, removing background noise, etc, etc. I understand that volume and normalization are available, but that's not adequate when one wants to take, for example, a lecture, edit it and improve the quality of the audio.
Sorry, can't understand the language.
Wow, that's incredible that it's so complicated. I thought I was just missing something obvious and simple. Am I alone in thinking this is way too complicated? Isn't this something that everyone that splices two or more clips together would want to do - link them and edit them together? Or am I missing something?
Sorry, I don't understand. I can translate maybe. What language please?
Or, in other words, I want to use AudioDirector on all video clips at the same time.
Hi,
I have the video the way I want, I want now to boost, normalize and apply some effects to the audio and I'd rather not have to do it one segment at a time: The edit audio only shows on the editing screen when one audio segment is highlighted. When I highlight two or more it doesn't come on. This seems ineffecient. Why can't they all be highlighted and apply the same boosting, normalization and effects to them all at the same time?
thanks
Project contains multiple clips with audio. I'd like to edit the audio all at once, but when I link all the clips, audio and video, or just the audio clips, the Edit Audio button does not appear. Edit Audo button only appears for single clips - this of course means it would take ages to edit the audio. How do I edit the entire audio all at once?
