I'm running Power Director !! V-11.0.0.3625
Currently I edit 1080 videos from my GoPro Hero-2 camera.
I'm getting a new camera that records 4K video. Is this older PD-11 software capable of editing 4K video ?
Thanks

If you place your video on the timeline, then whilst it is highlighted you will see various points in the preview window which you can 'grab' and drag with your mouse. For simple rotation, the circle in the centre allows you to rotate the clip as required.
p.s. - I don't have PD11 but I'm sure this option has been available for a number of past versions.
Thanks, So simple, I should have thought of that. Apperciate the info, thanks again!

I have a *.MOV video from my Nikon CoolPix camera that's rotated 90 deg's. Is there a way to get this video to play right side up?
I've looked all through my Power Director II 64 bit, but can't find a way to rotate it in PD II.
If not able to do it in PD II maybe another process.

Place the main video in track one and the other video on track 2. Resize the video on track 2 and it will show as a small window with the main video still running.
Thanks James, appreciate the tip.

I'm running Pwr Dir. 11
Is it possible to have a video running in a small window, superimposed over the main video?

There is a way to do this quickly. Open the mixing room. If it is track 1 audio then move the audio gain (left to right) slider for track 1 to the left and you should see the entire audio line on the timeline move downward. This is not the Video volume up to down slider on top.
You can do the same to the other active tracks if necessary.
Thanks Tomasc! It works great. Appreciate the info. Hope your day is good.

I have PD 11
I would like to know if there's a quick way to make a volume adjustment to a sound in a timeline to adjust the complete line all at once, without using Audio Director, or Wave Editor. I can select the little dots, and drag to make an adjustment, but I have to make 2 selections. One at beginning, and one at end of the track.
I'd like to be able to make one selection, and drag for an adjustment. (Example: change a 50% volume setting to 20% just by draging once.)

Thanks Tony!
I'll give that a try.
Gave it a try. Worked great. Thanks!
I didn't get to learn about "Key-Frames". I need to try using them in other ways. Do you have any more instructional videos on useing them?

I'm trying to use Crop/Zoom editor to zoom in on a portion of my video, then zoom back out again. I split my video into 3 seperate clips.
1st clip: I'm zooming in to a specific size.
2d clip: I'm keeping the entire clip the same zoomen in size.
3d clip: I'm zooming back out to full size.
Is there a way to keep the zoomed in box size the same in all 3 clips? I marked a template to hold up to the monitor screen to make them the same, but would like a more accurate way to make the zoom sizes the same.

Currently using Pwr. Dir. 11 Works good, and no problems.
Thinking of upgrading to 14. I downloaded trial version, and installed it. It seems to work OK. I like most of what I see, but would like to know if there's any "outstanding" improvements. I just do basic editing. Nothing special.
Here's examples of my videos to illustrate the level of my editing. Would updating to 14 buy me anything?

That explains a lot. I was just playing around, and only had one chapter.
|
|
Thanks! I'll continue to play around with it, and see if I can learn more.
I don't use chapters much. I was just trying to learn more about the software, and tried to delete a chapter after it was created. I couldn't see any way to do the delete.
Thanks again.

Thanks again Mike. That's exactly what I was looking for.
BTW: To all who help us "less experienced" users, I wish you all a very "HAPPY THANKSGIVING". and HOLIDAY SEASON.

Thanks for the responce, and no offence taken. I do try to play around, but the 2 middle icons ( Delete selected & Delete All) are not active on my window.
Also...
I've tried to select both the chapter box ( as shown in your example at top right.) & the clip in the time line. Both icons are non-active.
I must be missing something.

Pwr. Dir. 11
Can a video file be used in the "PIP Objects room"?
or
Is there a way to run a second video, in a small window, while the main video is playing?

Pwr. Dir. 11
Can a "Chapter" be removed once it's inserted? If so, how?
|
|
Thanks, good to know.

Thanks ! That's good to know.
I've been considering PD14, but don't know if I'd make use of it's new features. I may give the trial version a spin, when all these #$*^&@$&^# leaves are gone, and I have more time to play with it.

I've used "MicroSoft Digital Image Suite 2006" ( I know it's old!! ) to create a transparent background for *.gif's.
I select all of the image's background using one of the selection tools. I invert, then delete the selected background, and save the file as a gif.
The gif works for me in the Pwr.Dir. PIP method. I haven't tried a png file type yet.
BTW: I can insert a gif with a transparent background into most any image, or video using this method. Don't know if other editing software does this.

You can use Studio to remove "fisheye" (And it works great) but you have to import a GoPro camera file for the [Fisheye Removal] option to show in the "Advanced" box.
If you import another file type, or modify the camera's original file, then import it into Studio, that option (Remove Fisheye) won't show in the "Advanced" window.
BTW: If you do process your file to remove "fisheye", try clicking on the [Protune] icon (in lower right) to enhance the video.
I makes a rather dull video "blossom out" Not for everybody, but some may like the effect? Worth a try!
