Can a "Chapter" be removed once it's inserted? If so, how?

Yes. A picture is worth a thousand words . . . . .

I hope you won't be offended if I say that you could find out a lot about PD's features by simply playing around with it.

Mike

Hi, Loren C!

Yep, chapters can be deleted or added to at the editing stage, or, when bringing the video into the "Create Disc" stage, by clicking the "C" in the dialoge box, you can set the chapters or add/delete chapters in a clip you've had on the timeline as you entered the "Create Disc" mode. But you can only do this BEFORE you've burned the disc.

And Mike, "simply playing around with it!" Spoken like a golfer! ha-ha.

Cheers!

Neil.

Mike
Thanks for the responce, and no offence taken. I do try to play around, but the 2 middle icons ( Delete selected & Delete All) are not active on my window.
Also...
I've tried to select both the chapter box ( as shown in your example at top right.) & the clip in the time line. Both icons are non-active.

I must be missing something. Ageing Gracefully

Hi Loren C,

I should say that I'm running PD9 and PD13. I've tried this on both, the GUI is slightly different but they both work in the same way and I imagine PD11 is nearer to the PD13 style display. I find that I can select the chapters by clicking the boxes in the Chapter Room or the chapter markers in the timeline. If this doesn't work for you it sounds like there could be a problem with your installation. I don't know what else to say. Maybe one of the more knowledgeable contributors on this forum might be able to suggest something. Regards,
Mike

Thanks! I'll continue to play around with it, and see if I can learn more.
I don't use chapters much. I was just trying to learn more about the software, and tried to delete a chapter after it was created. I couldn't see any way to do the delete.

Thanks again. Ageing Gracefully

Maybe this pic will help.

That explains a lot. I was just playing around, and only had one chapter.
