I just upgraded to PD 11 because all of my new GoPro files could not be handled by PD9. However, I have extremely limited ability to set frame rates for editing in PD11. Is there some way to manually set the frame rate to match my camera settings. Even if I set my frame rate at 50 in the camera it reads in the properties as 49.9 (close, but not 50). So I get a warning saying my video quality may be degraded if they don't match. Ideas, suggestions?

Thanks
Thanks Carl, this has all been very helpful.
I'm sorry, I meant to say video accelerator in place of video encoding above.
I don't know what you mean by Profile setting and I tried with and without video encoding. I usually keep that unchecked as a result of advice for an earlier problem...I think PD9 was still locking up on me allot back then and unchecking video encoder fixed that. It was awhile ago and perhaps an update has solved that problem.
I stand corrected. The video stored on my computer after the uploads also has large pixels showing up. What is going on. Same computer as always?
Never had this problem before. I edit a Video in PD9, go to Produce and choose YouTube, select 1080x720 (My camera's max), fill in the appropriate blanks and push the button to upload. There are large pixels showing in the video on YouTube, but not if I view the copy on my computer. I have tried uploading with a higher definition, video encoder on and off, preview on and off, private and public. Any ideas out there as to what's going on or do you think its on YouTube's end?

Thanks

I have about had it with this. I split, remove, adjust color, etc and leave transitions until last. I have tried doing them first as well. Sometimes the transitions are very jerky and actually stop the motion for a time, with the sound still going and then just catch up. "Unacceptable". Anyone got this part of this sometimes very annoying, but cheap and easy to use software? Oh yes, I only like the "fade" transition.

I have PD9. Haven't used it in awhile. When I take a snapshot, I can't find where it is saved. I have occassion to use a still from a video. Confused. Ideas? Thanks
Thank you both so much. Got it figured out.
I like to work on projects in small sections. For example I have 5 project PDS files from a recent trip. I can't figure out how to merge all of the files into one project without re-editing each or even keeping the one open from disappearing while trying to combine another project with it. The only way I seem to be able to do it is produce them each and then bring them all in as separate media files. I know this is just not the way to do it nor the way I want to do it because of the limited editing possibilities it causes. How do I take several project PDS files and combine them into one project without having to re-edit each?

Thanks Paul
This is my second post and I am having a hard time understanding why I can get no answer to this question. I have contacted support and they had me remove and reinstall and the problem still exists. Is this a workflow issue? Am I the only one with this issue? Is it related to transitions? Should I be appling fixes before splitting and other editing? Help? Here is the original quesion I posted. SOMEONE MUST KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS.

This baffels me to no end. I get my 3 or 4 minute video just the way I want it, transitions, music, stills, etc. I then need to adjust the white balance and apply to all, then I adjust the lightness or darkness and apply to all and without failure the voice gets out of sync with the video. I have tried doing this one scene at a time and it still happens. It does not always happen if I adjust just the white balance, but always happens if I then adjust something else in edit. This just makes no sense to me ?!. Is this a workflow issue, ie do you need to adjust whitebalance and other issues before begining to split, cut intsert etc.? Or is my copy of PD9 corrupted again?

Thanks
Paul

No your correct, I have PD9. Things have gotten a little more confusing with the new model of PD or is it two new models?
I realized after posting it I may have put it in the wrong place. Thanks

Thanks Cranston. I have been messing with YouTube for over an hour. I know where you can put the link, but it still does not seem to give you the option to link a personal website. Tried everything. Interesting though. I can type the link into the You Tube Title and it will remain in the title below the video and is active, but it is removed from the larger title above. I can't image why You Tube would care if you linked your own website in your video.

Thanks again
Sorry, if this has been addressed before, but I can't find a "search tool " for this form. Pretty sure it used to be here somewhere.

I was wondering if there was a way to insert an active link into one of my slides. It's a short promotional video for a line of hand mad leather bags. All of the slides have www.cruzsoto at the bottom, but I would like folks to be able to click on a slide or part of it and go to the website.

Thanks
Thanks
I needed to shoot a video in Portait format rather than landscape. I have no problem with the video being much smaller when I show it in portrait format. I just can't figure out how to do that. How do I convert my video to portrait format from landscape?
I don't want a slow rotation and I want the whole video with nothing cropped out...just smaller so it all fits in the screen

Thanks
