Thanks for all the help guys. I completed the project without the effect. But I'm going to learn how to use the effect for future projects, given the information in this thread.

Appreciate ya'll.

Not the same. See the link and video I referenced.
How do I create the effect shown on the official page: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-editing-software/overview_en_US.html

Go down 1/2 way of the page, slick the tab on the left "AI Object Detection." That or a similar effect is what I'm looking for but I don't see any tutorials on how to achieve it. Am I missing it somewhere?

At least you can possibly get a refund since you got yours a week ago but I got mine a few months ago so I just want to make sure it's worth me getting it over the previous version. Yes I've been using PowerDirector since version 9 but I want to make sure it's worth the upgrade from 15 to 16 as far as rendering options/speed goes.

Well, according to this thread the differences are somewhat nominal to the average user....

It doesn't look like a big upgrade feature wise. At first glace, it's more of a PD 15.5 maybe.

I for one couldn't care less about 360 video and that is where much of the attention was seemingly spent.

I just bought PD10 Ultra. I've downloaded and installed it and the packs.

There was the PD10.exe file...which I know installed as I can open it and have registered it.

There are also 3 packs to install as well however. Pack 1, Pack 2, and Travel Pack 2.

When I go to open the PD10 info from within the program (where you get a popup that gives you the latest version and build...there are 3 tabs: Upgrade, Update, Installed Packs.

When I click on the "Installed Packs" tab...nothing appears, even though I installed Pack 1, Pack 2, and Travel Pack 2. Is this normal? If so, how can I confirm that the content of the packs are installed properly?

I've never used PD10 before so I am going to have to go through the tutorials. But having just purchased PD10, I'm a little alarmed to not see the packs that I thought were installed properly. Any help/explanation would be greatly appreciated.
