Question about recent install of packs..."Where are they?"
[Post New]
I just bought PD10 Ultra. I've downloaded and installed it and the packs.

There was the PD10.exe file...which I know installed as I can open it and have registered it.

There are also 3 packs to install as well however. Pack 1, Pack 2, and Travel Pack 2.

When I go to open the PD10 info from within the program (where you get a popup that gives you the latest version and build...there are 3 tabs: Upgrade, Update, Installed Packs.

When I click on the "Installed Packs" tab...nothing appears, even though I installed Pack 1, Pack 2, and Travel Pack 2. Is this normal? If so, how can I confirm that the content of the packs are installed properly?

I've never used PD10 before so I am going to have to go through the tutorials. But having just purchased PD10, I'm a little alarmed to not see the packs that I thought were installed properly. Any help/explanation would be greatly appreciated.

One pack is the program itself, two of the packs are Contents Titles, Particles, PIP, etcetera.
The Travel Pack is a bonus pack.

If your Title Room is full or nearly full, your contents got installed OK.
You can check the other rooms, they should be full also.

Hi Jeremy -

As Carl says, if all the templates are available in the Title, Particle & Pip Objects modules the content packs have been installed correctly.

The content packs (including the Travel Pack) do not get installed in the same folder as the PD program.
Content Packs: C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\templates\PowerDirector Content Pack 10
Travel Pack: (probably) in C:\Program Files (x86)\CyberLink\templates

On a 64-bit PC, the main program (& lots of other things) is stored in C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector10

There's a glitch in those information boxes - they don't display the information you'd expect.

Are all your templates available in PD?

Cheers - Tony

Just a follow on from this enquiry - I recently upgraded my computer and had to re-download PD10 - which went fine, with excellent assistance from the Cyberlink staff..
but then I lost the link to one of the extra packs and could only install pack 2.
Now I can't find a link to download pack 1.
Any suggestions?
Also, do us loyal PD10 users who have been upgrading for years get to access the Travel Pack 2, which is being given free to new users? One Man, One Vote. The Patrician was the Man, he had the Vote.

Hi there -

On the download link for the Content Pack, I'd contact Customer Service and explain. They'll provide you with the link, I'm sure.

I seriously doubt whether you'd get the Travel Pack for free, but there are lots of us in the same boat!
