Can anyone help me? I've not been able to figure out how to download title tempaltes from the Director Zone website INTO Cyber Director 10. I've successfully saved the title files from the Director Zone site into my computer and when I double click the file I'm told they've been downloaded into Cyber Director 10. But when I go to the Cyber Director application I can't find the titles and don't know how to load them.
Thnx for any / all suggestions!!!

Carl...thnx. I'm still looking for help in adding text right into a video (like having a message pop up in the video)...whereas a title page is something you insert before a video clip (I've done quite a few of them). I hope this response clarifies waht I'm trying to do and where I need help (position a subtitle anywhere in the video and addign a transition to the subtitle).

Looking for some (I think) basic guidance on adding subtitles to a project. I know how to add and format a subtitle (that's pretty easy). What I can't figure out is how to 1) position a subtitle (i.e., where to position the subtitle in a video - the default is always centered at the bottom of the video) and 2) whether you can add a transition to a subtitle (e.g, fade in and fade out).
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thnx, Chuck

Golfister...I I had your issue as well. I know it may be an "ass backwards" approach but I ended up deleted (or locking the audio track - in the Timeline view) that was giving me problems, created a new audio track and moved all my audio clips to it and I didn't have the issue anymore!
I'm sure this is the NOT "best" way to do this...and maybe it won't work for others, but it did work for me (I have PD10).

Guys, this feedback is INCREDIBLY helpful...and usually "solves the problem". Thank you.
In this particular case I cleared out all of my audio tracks, then disabled the track that had the ghost sounds and I added a new audio track and used that for my audio files. Probably not the ideal solution but it seemed to do the trick (tho it took some time to recreate everything).
But I've now got a completed movie (with sound...in all the right places) and I'm very pleased!

Don, yes, I'm in preview mode...I'm still creating the movie.
And sadly things are going from bad to worse as now I've got "ghost" sounds tracks in my movie (still in preview mode). I added some Magic Music soundtracks which seemed to be causing problems and after deleting those audio clips from the timeline they are still their (well, their sound is, that is...but the audio clips aren't visible on the timeline). Good grief!

I'm back again! As a new user of PD I seem to be experiencing things that are common to the rest of youbut not me (yet)!
Anyway, today's issue is easy to explain...but I don't know how to fix it. I'm in the process of creating a movie from vids, pics and audio tracks (so far so good) but while in play mode (whether for singles clips or the entire movie) the audio simply "cuts out", seemingly at random. I've deleted and replaced audio tracks, I've moved clips to different tracks and I can't seem to find a pattern...but the sound cuts out completely pretty regularly (even right in the middle of clips).
Any suggestions/thoughts???
Thank again in advance...this site is very helpful!

Jamie - thank you for the guidance. I've downloaded the software (it's free) and it worked like a charm!!!!

I am creating a movie in PD 10 (mostly from home made vids and pics) and want to add a brief clip from the theatrical movie 300 (the Spartacus chant - "What is your Profession" - which is readily available via You Tube and other Google searches).
Is it possible to download clips like this into PD10 and incorporate into one's home made movie? If so, how?
Thnx!

Tony, a BIG tahnk you. Clicking through the thread you sent I found the below post of yours a while back. It worked like a charm (tho it seems I have to follow the below for EACH song I want to import into PD). But it does work.
Thnx so much...Chuck
I'll throw a bit in too...
Cranston & Jaime are on the money. I use iTines as my main music library. Here's what I do and it's never resulted in any such problem:
1. In iTunes, go to Edit > Preferences > General > click on Import Settings > Select MP3 encoder or WAV encoder. Click OK a couple of times.
2. Now music that's in your library may already be in a variety of formats. Select the track you want to use.
3. Right click on it & select "Create MP3 version" (or WAV).
4. Drag the converted file to the desktop (or wherever you want). It copies the file. iTunes does what other conversion software does (as long as your preferences are set as described above).
5. In PD, import the converted file.
Hope that helps - Tony

Folks, thnx for the responses. I'm not completely surprised taht there might be some restrictions on iTuens songs (tho since I've bought them I thought I might have greater access to them).
Oh well...I'll just dump music from my CD's into my PC and use that music.

I just purchased PowerDirector 10 today (May 12) so am new to this software (but have used video editing software before). I'm already having issues (very likely "user error"!)...I can't import music from my iTunes library (file format .m4a...which appears to be supported in all the documentation I've read about PD 10). When I try to import this type of media into the PowerDirector Media Room I get the following error message:
"An error occured while opening this media file in the media library. It may be because the file is broken, an unsupported format, protected video content or for another reason. Contact your video provider for a different video format."
Is this typical? Thanks for any help/guidance anyone can provide to this "newbie"!!!
