Thank you longedge for the reply but it seem Tom does not like what I've posted and seem to understand what I said and he has not replied back so I guess i was right all along?

My issue is simple play a video and the audio does not match it so why i said i went into this free software and change the audio delay to 200 and exported it and it worked!

Its a Mp4 file but it can be AVI or MKV does not matter.
Its also a file that has the video and audio combine.

Its on a seperate HD as I do my editing on a seperate HD and its not being streamed as I am not asking about lag on live videos.

Its pre recorded video with audio sync issues cause was not recorded properly but I fixed it!

So with this can i asked what tools is tom mentioning to fix this?

Can I list the two software here so its get a proper understanding? As what Tom says is wrong and i feel he is very hostile to me.

Hostile because i found something that could help powerdirector users.

And also is moving the audio frame the same as delaying audio by 200ms? Perhaps it might but Tom is not replying and I wonder why?

Thank you and hope to get an answer as I fix my issue already with a free software and then i can export it into powerdirect.

I was also wanting to be sure before i buy the software so Tom reply made me think i should not??

Perhaps all you need to do is edit the audio files and just shift the frame so it adds up to the video? Is this the same with the audio delay with using VLC media player for a temporary solution? If it is then support did not tell me about this just that i should install the trial and figure it out myself and i also have not seen anyone mention this too as said????

Hi Tom I was thinking of getting that other pro program to fix my issue because my video and audio was out of sync and those software will do the fix for you.

I know mine is a bit short but that is the purpose of those expensive software. To fix video and Audio sync issues from basic to more complex issues.

You said it was easy but I have read most post and they all say its hard to fix? And lots of manual adjusting and very complicated! And I have not read any post while searching mentioning tools? I even search youtube to fix this issue but its mostly just moving the frames?

So can you tell me what these tools are and why they are not on youtube as tutorials? Like in audio director you can remove back ground noise? In spectrum mode? That is very neat something i have not seen.

But anyway I have not tested long recording with multiple audio sync issues. But I think this method will work well because I can just export the problem clip and fix it then import back into Powerdirector.

I also ask support and they did not tell me anything about these tools?

So please do tell me how do you fix this issue in Powerdirector?

And why did you have to delete my 2 ideas for powerdirector if its going to help improve the software? It was not like I was mentioning Premier Pro. It was just a software to fix audio video sync issue so Powerdirector does not need to worry about users abandoning it.

Also i know power director can shift audio using frames but with my file the audio and video are one file. And again if powerdirector can do that there should be no worries about mentioning these software that can help other people.

I started a topic on this but it got deleted? As no one was able to help me or i just could not find the issue? I got a free software that enables me to fix my video audio sync issue and like it if 14 can be updated to have this too? Its so basic and easy!

I just change the audio delay to -200ms and the export it and import into powerdirector to do any other changes.

So please have this basic feature!

I have asked a similar question and perhaps you guys can help?

If audio does not sync with your video and its all one file how do you fix it? With a free sofware you can import the file delay the audio by -200ms and export it and the reviews say it works for others but i never got it too work.

So like to ask if the latest version can sync the audio for you with out going through frame by frame to fix it?

Thank you for the reply in VLC media player i could just delay the setting to -200ms and that helps sync the audio and video. And like to know if you can have this simple feature in powerdirector?

Because as I read in other post its annoying if you have a very long scene to edit and you get frequent issues with the audio not syncing with the video? And with this example this could be doing a long video recording done but audio not syncing with video.

Using the -200ms improves this with short scenes however when it gets more complex does the latest edition of director has a fixed option button? Instead of going through it all manually?

I can buy an expensive software to fix this for me but if powerdirector can do this i would not need to buy it.

There are some free programs you can use to change this thing but it does not work.

I like to ask if getting powerdirector will have the option to delay audio sync manually like you can with VLC? You can slow it down so the audio will sync with the video? I been searching on this and all I know is that powerdirector does not have this feature and its got to be a very long process to work out? I also read you can add transition effects but it has issues and i hope you can edit the audio settings so you can change it there.

No need to keep pushing the issue I just wanted to know what other members have that's all.

I know my comp is not built for high level video editing but simple editing it will be sufficient. If I am rendering 3D animated films then yes I would need a powerful computer to do so. A Powerful computer will always be better I know but I am sort of wanting to know mid range requirements..

I would gladly give my exp on this and help out anyone with out asking for a diagnostic file if I was a Pro in this myself. But its all good I have others helping me out I thought it just would be faster posting

Sometimes it helps if you know alot to just list your system specification, its not hard...
others can do it I am not sure why you won't Dafydd? Yes I know if you look at the file you can see what my system needs improving. But I did not ask how I can improve my system I just want to hear what others have.

Again I would do it if If I was Admin of this forum and just be helpful and kind and just share my exp, not submit file, if not well then we can't help you. You can still be very helpful just sharing your exp in video editing..

Anyway I know the answers now so its okay and I did not have to submit my diagnostic file to know the answer.

So I hope Moderator you can do the same as well as others here and not keep saying submit file. Be a little nicer it helps alot...

Yes she did but was hoping that I do not have duplicate scenes but will try and see how it goes, it might just be size issue I am worried about. Again nicer if tackes are avaliable for the effect...

Not for top Pros but avg use for video editing, eg editing clips, adding a few effects, sound, just clearing a movie up, I suppose a high system will always be good but not everyone can get such a high end computer.

Would this be enough? Or would more ram be useful? Just not sure if faster CPU is the issue or is Ram is the issue for a video editing software to run smoothly..

I have used 2gigs and my resource tells me i have 2gigs free...

1. Hmm I am not sure if that is possibe cause if the chicken is running and the dog is running and the bird is flying at the same time how are you going to do that?

And if your editing a movie to censor certain moving images do you have to make duplicate of the animated scene? So 1 1st video track of the chicken, 2nd video track of the bird below so really you have 2 films overlapping each other? Is this how movie editor do it? It does not look very proffessional making duplicate of a scene cause it will take up space. The size might be huge if there are duplicate scene onto of each other if your have alot of editing to do.

Any other proffessional that can do this with out duplicating scenes?

I wonder why the designers did not make it flexible enough so you can add as many effects, text, etc you want. Hmmmm

2. I like to add several tracks with effects so if I want to blur the chicken as well as the bird in the sky, the dog on the right and leave other objects visible am I able to do that? Adding multiple blurs to the scene in different areas. Thanks for letting me know I can do 2 blurs but like to add 5 blurs.

If I can add more effect tracks that would be nice..

Got a few questions so thanks to anyone who can help!

1. I am using the blur effect and for some reason when I change it into a circle it becomes green and then blinks to become normal but mostly green the whole way.. I can send attachment if you want to see..

Do you know what the reason is?? When I render a Preview well it works the green circle disappears! So how do I show this in real time with out rendering it?

2. Also I just found out you cannot add more blurr effects if you want to blur out more then one image at a time.. So let say blur out the cat, dog and chicken all at the same time while leaving the other objects visible. How do you add another layer for effects? I hope you can in the full ultra version, tell me you can!

I try adding tracks but only can with audio and video this is a serious flaw in the software if you can only add audio and video and no text too..

Yes it works now I am not sure what happened I turn off Comodo and everything ran smoothly!! But will play around to see if Comodo is the issue...

I had comodo running the other time, very odd...

But at least it is functioning now!! Will see what happens..

ALthough I cannot update the Trial file it says its not a trial, I downloaded it from download.com so not sure what is going on. Perhaps I have not tried it

Hi there I wanted to test out director 10 and for some reason it keeps crashing on me when I start it! At one time it started out well and then I click on a jpeg and it froze. Keep trying to open it but with no success, do you know what is wrong?

It says: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.

Pls help as I would like to buy it, is it a memory or video problem?

Oh also I tried to update it to the latest and it couldn't! I downloaded it from cnet and as I tried to update it says that it must be a non trial version when it is a trial version. So its odd!!
