I realize that and addressed that in the first reply, namely, for PD10 the hardware video encoding will not work with the GTX970 and current drivers.

Jeff

Ah, that you certainly did Jeff, my apologies.

Looks like I may be having to upgrade to PD14.

I am having issues with drivers for this new card, my pc keeps crashing. Trying to sort this out and would love advice regarding stable drivers and settings for this card.

Cheers

Hi kmjk333
After settings that are stable for the graphics card as I am currently having my pc crash a lot with this card. The card is also failing benchmark testing. By failing I mean my pc crashes.
So just after settings (not overclocking) for this card to make it stable. Then I can look at settings within PD14.

My apologies because I certainly was not clear on this.

Thanks for this Andrew and Steve.

So it may be time to upgrade to PD14?
Does PD14 work well with the GTX970 graphics card?

Hi there

I own a copy of PD10 and have recently replaced my graphics card with an MSI GTX970. Since I have done this I am having issues with PD10, thread here; http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/48342.page

I have now downloaded a trial version of PD14 to see if it is worth purchasing. What I would like to know is waht drivers and settings people have found to be the most stable/best for running PD14 with this graphics card.

A search on this forum shows that there are some issues; http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/25/46836.page

Would like some feedback and settings so that I can give the trial version a good workout before I commit to purchasing this version.

My system specs are as follows;
Hi there

i have upgrade my video card to an MSI GTX970 and now PD10 will not use the hardware encoding setting thing. (sorry for being vague).

I try to paly and edit clips and I get a small green bar saying rendering and this takes ages.

I have tried to patch PD 10 but when I run the cyberlink downloader I receive the following error.

---------------------------Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library---------------------------Runtime Error!Program: C:\Users\m... This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. ---------------------------OK ---------------------------

So my questions are...

  1. how can I patch PD10 and hopefully repair it?

  2. Is it time to upgrade and why?

  3. If I upgrade, will the latest version of powerdirector be able to open my project files or will i have to start all over again?

cheers

Hi there

I was having problems with PD10 not opening and so I unistalled and then reinstalled. This did not work. I then searched this forum and found out it wa an AMD driver issue, so i did a driver rollback and now all is working again.

However... when I try to update PD10, I get a runtime error failure.

So what am I doing wrong?

Question 2: If I was to update to a newer version of Powerdirector, say PD14, would my old editing files open in the new version?

Thank you.
Hi there, I have tried to search for answer but no luck.
I am using PD10, and my son would like to upload a video to youtube.
My daughter had done this a while ago and when my son tries to upload to his chanel, the video uploads to my daughters youtube chanel.
I have opened a separate browser ensuring that my daughter is logged out and that my son is logged in. However it appears the PD10 just uploads to her youtube account as default.

So what am I doing wrong and what is the easy fix.

Cheers
Brendan
