Latest reply to my support case:

Dear David,

Thank you for writing us back.

I understand your concern related with speaker environment in PowerDVD 11.0 software.

In regards to your concern, I would request you to copy your files to your computer hard disc and then try to play the movie and let us know the status.

Please feel free to contact us back for any further clarification or for any assistance related to CyberLink Products. Use the below mentioned link to get back to us for your further queries:

CyberLink Technical Support

Are they suggesting I illegally rip my Blu-ray and try to mount the image to my hard disk somewhere? How could this POSSIBLY help even if it was possible (or legal)? I do not like outsourced support.
Yeah, I suspect it's just unsupported... which is too bad. It's a great interface.

Of course, the support folks are having me jump through all kinds of hoops (diags, patches, etc.) before they probably come to this conclusion as well.
I just tried to submit my problem to Technical Support and got the same error twice. And my forum post with the same question has been unanswered for several days.
Any more ideas?
After I posted the original message, I switched the default audio to the integrated audio on the motherboard - it works fine. I see all the speaker environments. When I switch the default back to the USB interface, the other speaker environments now remain but they all only work with (and play thru) the integrated interface - they won't go to the Windows default device any more.

DXDIAG attached.
I have an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra audio interface - no other apps have any problem playing through this interface (Windows Media Player, Finale, Sibelius, Cakewalk Sonar, etc.). PowerDVD 11 plays audio during the Blu-ray titles but does not during the movie. The Audio settings show SP/DIF as the only speaker environment, but the interface is USB, not SP/DIF. How do I fix this?

Thanks,
David
