Hi guys, i managed to fix the problem with a simple reinstall. Thanks very much for your help. A final question, when previewing clips in the timeline the quality of the picture is very poor. Can this be fixed and does it affect the final rendering/production process

Ok so the clip is running so we can elimate that as the issue. What else could it be. Would a reinstall be worth a try?

Hi, it was a download. Actually it was an upgrade from pd9. Tony Im interested in the activation prompt for H.264. How do I progress this?

Hi Joevideo, I have tried you suggestion and I get a similar message to my post avove, ie my version does not support avchd. Very confusing. I had none of these issues with PD9.

Hi Tony, yes I have save the files to computer first as well as importing directly from the camera. No luck unfortunately

Hi Tony, just that, nothing. It doesnt matter if I import, drop n drag, capture etc nothing appears. Interestingly when I try to capture from my HD video camera the HD camera option isnt available for me to choose (only the two tv options and the external device option is available) when i capture using the exteranl device option i get a message saying my version of PD cannot read AVCHD video

Why cant I import AVCHD files. The files I am importing are H.264 but nothing happens. I used PD9 ultra with no problems at all...help
