When you say "nothing happens"... can you say exactly what steps you're taking & the details of the clips you're trying to import?

I import AVC (.mts extension) with no issues.

Cheers - Tony

OK - every bit of information helps.

You ARE transferring the .mts files to your PC first? before you try to import them?

DTH070, one way to capture your video...look at your computer and check to see if it sees your camcorder as an external drive. If it sees it as an external drive, explore that external drive, find the video files you want to transfer and drag them into a folder in your computer. Then import the video inside your folder into your video editing program.
Have you done that ?...or did I miss that part ? JoeVideo

Hi Joevideo, I have tried you suggestion and I get a similar message to my post avove, ie my version does not support avchd. Very confusing. I had none of these issues with PD9.

dth070;
Is this the TRAIL version you are using?? Please make a 5 second clip with your camera and attach it here, in it's NATIVE format, BEFORE it goes through PD.

ALSO, update your Video Card drivers directly from Nvidia:

Looks just like mine. I don't think that's a trial version, Fred (not that I've ever had one).

The 00053.MTS file imported fine into my PD10.

Have you ever received a component activation prompt for AVCD H.264?

Cheers - Tony

I just wasn't sure if the Trial ALSO showed the same #... I never had the trial either. I await dth070 saying how he got it (download, disk, etc.)

His clip loaded, ran and acted just fine.

Ok so the clip is running so we can elimate that as the issue. What else could it be. Would a reinstall be worth a try?

Hi,
Please attach a screenshot of the About popup, it will have additional information to identify what build you are using and such. Link to attach files: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/reply/15/20299.page

The activation pop up for the H.264 file format will pop up when a HD file is inserted into PD. A user has 30days from purchase to activate this feature in PowerDirector 10. This message will display a count down to days left and requires an internet connection to activate.

The trial version has limitations for H264 file format.

An Uninstall - re-install will likely correct/overwrite an installation error.

Dafydd

Hi guys, i managed to fix the problem with a simple reinstall. Thanks very much for your help. A final question, when previewing clips in the timeline the quality of the picture is very poor. Can this be fixed and does it affect the final rendering/production process
