Would be nice if the forum and software folks at PD would compensate the vast customer base for testing their product.. I do love the software but it seems a little underhanded to supply a free trial program that runs without bugs on most home computers, then when you buy the full verzion all hell breaks lo0se.

Support has been helpful in the past but the customer must spend excessive time in explanation, then support spends about 2 seconds forwarding a canned response
Pd7 had me swearing to myself as it appears. I ain't alone. I would back up my drive then format then just load what you use, keep it simple ,I back up and copy waaaay to much crap

Gotta love HP computers, got ambitious and formatted my hard drive, amazing how much crap was on there, did that, loaded PD7 and two menu programs from disks, then downloaded DVX7 and viola PD7 works great. All formatting and reloading done automatically by the HP recovery process. Of course I had to load all the important crap back in but gained a ton of hard drive space. Gained 140 gig of HD space, currently only have 14 gig used, before it was 155 gig used, my vids are on a USB HD, got a 1TB drive for Dads day
Great trying to get Pd7 to burn..........blew my comp
error 8007000e, will not burn with a motion menu or without a menu?? What is the fix? Thanks Just a short test vid no title, music or chapters, won't burn
After a few weeks of frustration, with numerous burn failures, I finally just installed from the DVDs both PD7 and the motion menu freebees PROBLEM SOLVED Really great product, easy to use and tons of features
I have been beating on this for a while, support has been fast with their replys and suggestions. The other day I just stuck the DVD in forPD7 plus the additional programs that came with the recent promotion, VIOLA everything seems to work great, have done several short and long time DVDS with morion menu no problems. I had previously cleaned out my comp and downloaded the programs again, still could not burn motion menues, but now I can after just inserting the DVDs and instsalling from the DVDS.
Thanks for the help Jeff I will give that a try
Still beating on this thing, still wont burn freezez creating motion menu or gives variois error codes after "produce" is done, does everything except burn, will burn if I check without menu box, so my burner is OK. Amazing thing is that trial worked flawlessly, which is why I bought PD7. Support is helpful but their stuff is time consuming which I do not have.
Fresh copy of PD7 can burn if I uncheck the title box, if I leave it checked movie is produced burning goes to around 83, 85 % get above error code, as I mentioned before the trial verzion worked flawlessly on my comp
Turning off negative thoughts or ideas is FATAL to any company, with exceptions of course, valid complaints and problems that are posted should NEVER be deleted.
Well PD7 worked flawlessely for the time I had the trial, that is why I bought the program. Now I try to burn a disk and get "error 80070008e, or something like that, the next time the program hung at 1% burning!! If it was required to remove all previous versions that should have been mentioned before I bought??
Hello: Downloaded PD 7 and the first additional pack, downloaded "Vacation Pack and got error message must have PD 6.0 or above, probably because I had not activated PD7 yet?? How do I proceed to find and download the Vacation Pack?? Thanks
Thanks Robert, that is exactly the information I needed!! Will I need to delete the old Cyberlink stuff before downloading Director 7?
I am considering upgrading to Suite 7, I currently have Suite v5 what will the cost be? Thanks, I also have a bunch of older Cyberlink stuff on this comp. I do not plan to do music or data storage, just video editing mostly whihch would be my best program? I do like the later versions of Media Show that show all your videos and pics (I have 21,000.00 total vids and pics just on one USB drive.. I also have Corel ULead and it is nothing but frustration, Have Roxio too. I would like the top of the line but do not need BlusRay capability. Thanks in advance for any and all advice
I did contact customer service, they replied hours afterwards folks who come to forums are looking for a quick solution.
