Jeff,
Thanks for the reply. Are you able to produce relatively good quality stills in SD DVD mode? I realize they will not look like HD but the stills in my SD productions are quite bad. How do you handle the stills for maximum quality in SD productions? Also, do you use AVCHD to render the stills in your HD productions?

Jeff,
I also experience significant artifacts, shimmers, etc. They are especially bad when using pans on still photos. Do you insert still photos into your work? If so, what workflow do you follow to preserve the highest quality of the photos in the final production?

Graeme and twincitybulldog, I do see issues with the very last frame in WM. Do you only have one frozen frame at the end of the clip in PD? I have approximately 12 to 30 frozen frames at the end of my clips ip PD.

Graeme1946 and twincitybulldog, are you using the full or trial version of PD10?
Graeme1946, what graphics card are you using?
We enjoy that cat!

Thank you very much for the help. Do you mind asking some others there if they have experienced this issue?

I verified that shadow files are off (tried it both ways). I tried hardware on/off, OpenCL on/off at all the settings of preview quality. Same result. If I step through the clip frame-by-frame the last 12 frames or so are either black or have no motion. It happens quickly at full speed but it is obvious when going frame-by-frame. Do you experience the same issue?
Thanks.

I am experiencing an issue where both the preview window and produced files freeze on the last 12 - 30 frames of every clip. I am using 1920x1080 24Mbps avc clips from Canon HF M301. I have tested multiple clips and it is the very last frames of each clip that are "frozen". I am using the PD10-1012 Trial. I have the full version of PD9-3305 and do not experience these issues. I have imported the same clips into PD9 and PD10. This issue only shows up in PD10.
I have attached a short clip to demonstrate (see the cat's movement freeze at the end). This is the raw file from my camera without processing. The length of the clip does not matter - the same problem occurs on longer ones also.
Can someone let me know if you have the same issue with this file?
Could this be related to the trial version?
Thank you.

I have used PD Ultra Version 9 for some time with good success. I recently installed the trial version of PD10. My clips are 1080i 24Mbps High Profile. In PD9 I created custom profiles (AVCHD and MP4) based on the High Profile option. In PD10, when I create a custom profile, only the Baseline and Main Profile options are available. Things work fine in PD9.
Is anyone else having this issue? Any thoughts or suggestions?
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel Core i7-920, 9GB RAM, plenty of hard drive space.
ATI HD4850 graphics card with latest drivers.
Thank you.
