In Photodirector, when i move the black or white point sliders in the levels tool, the middle slider doesn't automatically move with them like in other levels tools I've used. Is there a way to change this?
I'm new to Photodirector and loving it so far.

The question i want to ask is:

After adding the photo's i want to work with to my Project in Photodirector, i want to crop them all to the same aspect ratio (7x5). At the moment the only way i can figure out how to do this is to click on each photo in turn, then click on the crop button, and then manually change the 'Aspect' drop down box from 'original' to '7 x 5' for each picture. Every picture i click on in my project has a default crop aspect of 'original' and so i have to manually change each one each time to '7 x 5'. I'm thinking surely there's a way to apply my chosen crop ratio to every photo in the project in just one go?

I know there's a 'copy adjustment settings for other photos' button at the bottom but it doesn't seem to include the crop tool's setting.

Any help would be great, thanks.
thank you so much - i'll give it a go
I'm asking because having watched my finished movie on a TV, I've decided that I want to use bigger versions of all the pictures, which means completely replacing the ones I've already used in the project. Is there some kind of trick or command for swapping old for new, i.e. for example it would be good to just right click on a picture and have an option to specify a new picture to replace it. Is there anything like that?

I'm aware that you can cut out stuff from the time-line, but it often seems to muck things up for me, i.e all the text entries get out of sync & need repositioning, etc.

Many thanks.
My HD video clips are 30 fps but i live in a PAL region. Which settings should i use?

I want to make a blu-ray movie. I live in England and our region is PAL. However almost all the camcorders sold here only save video footage in 30 fps. I assume this must be because HD is HD and is a worldwide format (i.e not subject to region frame rate issues like the standard definition videos used to be). If my assumption is right then would i also be right in saying that it then becomes the job of the Blu-ray players and HD TV's to display the video from the Blu-ray disc nice & proper on the HD TV in that region?

Now do i still need to have the TV format settings in PowerDirector's program settings set to PAL as i live in a PAL region? However when i do this i get a message on the screen saying the TV formats don't match and the video clip will have to be converted with some quality loss (i assume this is because 30 fps is a NTSC frame rate).

Ideally i would also like to make a dvd movie too as well as the blu-ray version.
Can the TV format of a project be changed between PAL & NTSC after you're finished making your movie?

I'm wondering because i have friends in both regions that would like copies of my movie.

I know when you add a clip to the timeline and its TV format doesn't match the TV format in the programs settings, PowerDirector then says it will convert the clip but the resulting video quality may be degraded. Now does the converting to the new tv format for the clip happen there & then or is all the converting done only at the time of rendering/burning once you've finished editing your movie?

I'm hoping i don't have to make the project from scratch again just because i need it in a different tv format. It would be so much easier if i can just change 1 setting in the programs settings and then burn the project in the new format.

Many thanks
