It is NOT fixed. This seems to be a general Cyberlink "spam" issue - I have the most recent versions of Power DVD and a lot of other programs from Cyberlink. Just started MediaEspresso. Same issue. A GENERAL notification about a new version pops up - and directs you to a GENERAL Cyberlink software upgrade web page. Run the upgrade option from Mediaespresso and got the message that no upgrades were available. Cyberlink - you spam your paying customers.
I have the same setup, and my Win7 64 PC changes to HDMI output of picture and sound when I turn on the receiver. As I normally want to do most of the time, but nice to have the manual setup ability in PowerDVD.
I would prefer a promise to implement support for MKV subtitles in PowerDVD and HD sound in MediaEspresso though :
Have just purchased full version of PowedDVD 11 including last version of MediaEspresso. Useless for me as I can't access the subtitles in my MKV movie files (despite turning off hardware acceleration etc, and they do show fine in VLC player). I have also tried to make mp4 versions to iPads etc in MediaEspresso, but MediaEspresso does not support/convert DTS-HD sound. I ripp all my Blu Rays to MKV containers (use MakeMKV) - grabbing the main movie, two subtitles (Eng and Nor), and the best quality sound track, DTS-HD etc. Win7 64 and last versions of PowedDVD and MediaEspresso.
This is a Windows issue and PowerDVD default follow Windows. Will the manual setting of s/pdif in PowerDVD override the current system setting?
