Thank you again for your help. For some reason it would not let me alter the project I brought over where I had previously modified the part I needed. Fortunately, I found the original captures that I did on a different laptop I own so it looks like I may get this done the way I want. Thanks again for all your help.
Yeah, I tried but it wouldn't let me upload the media. Well, let me correct that, it let me upload from the other project but it would not let me alter the work done on the other project. Meaning where I did the focus to highlight my in-laws dancing at the wedding, I can not change that. So I need to start from scratch.
Hello all,

I am using Power Director 9. Unfortunately I have found that it will not allow me to cut and paste from other projects that I have already completed so I have to redo my video editing from our wedding video. The problem is Power Director 9 is not allowing me to capture. Even if I use the previous video I made on PD9, it will not let me capture. (I can play but the record button will not work) I used the same process with my VHS to DVD software like I did previously and it is not allowing me to capture. Any suggestions or help on how to get this video downloaded and captured again would be great!

Thanks,

Burton
Thank you both very much for your help. I did find the second reply helped most. I was able to click on the first subtitle and hold shift down while clicking the last box. This highlighted all included subtitles and I was able to drag to the new location. Thanks again!
Hello,

I am using Power Director 9 and am working with subtitles. The subtitles are words of my music going across the bottom of the screen. I had to make changes by adding some additional media and now the subtitles are not lined up with the music track. Is there a way I can move all subtitles without messing up the order or positioning?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help! I think I got it...I put all three backgrounds individually but ran the entire script as one through the three screens. This made the run time needed to be very long. I went ahead and reprocessed the entire script and broke it up into thirds with each screen. Same result, different process...other than one was right and one wasn't. Thanks again for all of your help.

Dafydd,

I have included a couple other pics that I hope may help.

1) showing the scrolling in the first three screens like I want with the correct run time for speed.

2) Showing a pic after the scrolling is complete but within the 4 min of the title bar. Trying to remove this text.

3) Sample of normal pic outside of 4min bar with no text appearing.

Just thought these may help. Let me know if I can provide anything else.

Again, thanks so much for all of your help.

Jason
Dafydd,

Thanks again and ahead of time for all of your help. I am just about done with my slideshow/video except for fixing this problem with the script at the front. I hope I have provided the correct shots that you requested. Please let me know if you need something different. I will also include another post after this with one or two more pics that may help better explain what I am trying to communicate. Please let me know if there is anything different I need to do or provide to you.

Thanks again,

Jason
Dafydd,

Thanks for your reply. I did enter the scroll text correctly and I have my timing with the background screens, text, and music all set. My issue that I am having is the "title Bar" which holds the poem is about 4:30. The scrolling is complete on the background screens the way I like it at just over 1 minute. My problem is sometimes between the 1 minute where the scrolling stops and the 4 1/2 minute mark of the title bar. The first few words of the poem is appearing on some of the frames. It doesn't happen on all of them but I do not know how to remove it so the poem only appears during the scrolling during that first minute. Is there anyway to extend the title bar as I have for the ability to read the script to four minutes without the words appearing after the scrolling is complete?

Am I making sense? Is there anyway I can take a screen shot and include it for you?

Thanks for your help.
Dafydd Bevan - SoftDeko,

Sorry about that, I thought a nickname was sufficient. I went in and tried to change my profile and I do not see a location for adding my name. I am new at this so I apologize for any problems or misunderstandings...

Regards,

Jason
Hello All!

I am doing a memorial slideshow/video for my late mother-in -law and I have a couple questions/ issues....

1) I wanted to put the poem that was on her prayer card into the video with three different scenic backgrounds. Because it was so long I could not figure out how to run the key frames to slow the pace of it down so it could be read (I am doing the "star wars" scroll/crawl). Therefore, I did a title page and entered all the words onto the one page. I used spacing as I entered the words to help act as a fade transitions between the three background screens. I have everything timed out perfectly with music etc. However, when I run the movie, sometimes the words will appear on some of the still frames later on. I know that the words of the poem on the title bar are under those frames, but the scroll is done running several minutes before. Did I hit something to cause the words to appear on some of the later frames? And why do they only show up sometimes. If I exit out and come back, or remove the title and paste again it goes away? Any suggestions on that would help.

2) I edited some video from my in-laws dancing at our wedding. Unfortunately, they are not always the only one in the frames. I figured out the PIP? focus where I can put an oval around them and move it according to their movements, however, I was wondering if there is a way to take them and place it on some type of background other than just black?

I am very new at this but feel like I have figured quite a bit out already. I know my questions are vague and probably don't make sense but I would appreciate any help or feedback I can get. I wanted to get this done in the next day or two so I can give it to my family for their first anniversary since she past.

Thanks!
