I posted the inability of PowerDVD 10 Mark II Ultra 3D (downloaded version) to play certain movies (for example, Salt issued by Sony) but my concerns were ignored. I tried to upgrade my PowerDVD to the latest version - CyberLink.3715 (Ultra_Free_DVD111219-02 and got the following error: "Can't load SKUtil.dll". I tried to reinstall the software and each version now generates this error. In short the software is now useless. Cyberlink has done nothing to address my problems. When I had audacity to suggest that there is an alternative to PowerDVD that actually works, my posts were deleted. I hope you have better luck.
Thanks for your suggestion. I am still searching for a solution. Kind regards.
Hello,

I tried to upgrade my PowerDVD Ultra 3D (downloaded version) to the latest version - CyberLink.3715(Ultra_Free_DVD111219-02 and now getting this error - "Can't load SKUtil.dll". Nothing works now. I get this error regardless of the poweredvd 10 updates I try to install. Ran ccleaner for cyberlink. Anyone know why this is happening and hot to fix? Regards and thanks.

Michael,

It has been a week now since I sent you the ticket numbers (two more above; while I believe I sent these as well, it is difficult to tell as the record system in place makes it difficult to make such determinations) but I haven't heard from you. What if anything is being done to fix the problem, or are my concerns just being tossed into a void? This whole experience has been exasperating and has now become a nightmare. The performance degradation continues, as if the program has been designed to start a self-destruct sequence. So could you kindly look into this and inform me what the engineering team's findings are and what the resolution might be? Thank you.
p.s. If I am blocked, I will write to every electronic PC magazine to get Cyberlink's attention.
I posted another note - we commence a class action law suit against the company's US operations. I am hoping for sufficient responses to get their attention. You can help if able to get others on board. If locked, put that in your complaint note to the company as well as a constitutional denial of freedom of speech. Moreover, it contradicts their claim (Micheal's) that this is a user's forum. Make use of that. In the meantime, send the complaint to the company's sales department. Provide whatever information you want, but enough to get you into the area where you can submit a complaint along the lines I am suggesting. Public disclosure is a good idea, but let's see if we can motivate them first to do something.
Same problem here. See my post on PowerDVD 10 and Sony blu-ray discs (e.g. movies Salt and Battle: Los Angeles just won't play after they are loaded). I haven't received a reply to my post yet so I am only sharing the pain this product and its company are causing customers.
I have launched a complaint with Cyberlink's customer sales people, but I suspect I will not get a reply. I have been getting the run around from the customer support people, sending me from pillar to post, for a number of weeks now regarding PowerDVD 10. The product is faulty and is unable to play certain Sony blu-ray discs for example, Salt and Battle: Los Angeles. I have asked for a refund, an appropriate patch or a free "upgrade" to PowerDVD 11, which will hopefully have the capacity to play all blu-ray discs. I should not have to purchase an "upgrade" simply because the product is deficient. That's like asking customers to purchase new software each time a new virus is found. I have asked for a prompt resolution of the complaint, as customer support has provided no suitable solution, even though I did all that I was asked.

Has anyone else had a similar problem, how was it resolved, and what process was followed to launch complaint? Thank you all.
