Certain things can happen that get annoying, but with a little work at it, it is a great investment. Recently I upgraded my computer, and it works great now.
Thank you! I had always had it running with the Nvidia card for PD9, but what made it work was resetting the graphics settings for PD9 nine in the Graphics Control panel.
When I place clips on the timeline, clicking on them shows the beginning shot. When I go to play the clips though, the preview window is either empty (showing a square of whatever program is behind it) or shows a black screen. The audio plays, but the video is always blank. Has anyone run into this problem before or know a solution for me?

The first one is reg. and the 2nd is 64bit
Thank you so much! It appears to be working now with updating my graphics card. What I had forgotten was that I have 2 graphics cards, and i had only been updating the intel one, forgetting the nvidia one. Thanks again!
When I open PD9 the logo appears, loads for awhile, then crashes. Other times it loads further and dosn't crash till later on in editing. Has there been a fix that i missed? I have updated to the latest PD9 version as of Feb 20th.

-Windows7 (64bit)
-PowerDirector 9 build 3305

The first attachment is the reg. and 2nd is 64bit
OK, thank you.
Looking at the order form for PowerDirector 9, it prompts me to buy a backup disc for $10.99... Can someone please explain what this is?
thank you
I want to get the full version of PD9, but I don't know if I will still be able to edit the project that I have been working on from the trial version. Is there a way to do this? Thanks ahead of time!
Thanks a bunch!
I have the trial version for PD9, but I am interested to know the difference between Ultra and Deluxe for PD9. Also, what more would either of them have than the trial version? Thanks ahead of time
I am using PD9, with Windows XP Professional running. At abount the point between the first 2 clips of my timeline, when played back, an error message is displayed, reading:

Media Source Error:
CyberLink PowerDirector could not construct the media source as a graph. This may be due to lack of decoding
filters for the file you are trying to edit.

The playback stops at this point. Does anyone have any ideas?
