Looking at the order form for PowerDirector 9, it prompts me to buy a backup disc for $10.99... Can someone please explain what this is?

If you are buying the download version, the extra is for a physical disc they will send you in the mail.

You can make your own back-up by copying the downloaded files to a CD/DVD along with the necessary information to re-install in the case of a hard drive failure.

I would copy the install files and a text file that contains the CD key and order information.
