I think they should stay with version 12 and just make that one work great befor focousing on a new version. Has have 3 different versions and have had issues with them all. Lets try to get one that has no issues and go from there

So I guess no help? Tech support has been of no help what so ever. That's if they even reply. I was told it was my hardware not the software wich is untrue. The hard ware was working with my system, latest updates firmwares and everything. I am tired of not being able to enjoy my movies with out issuesI have had three versions of this software and always seem to have issues. Any help would be appreciated

Quote:
The Catalyst 13.3 Beta driver also fixed BD Advisor and BD playback issue on Windows 8 x64 as well but only after Windows Hyper-V feature was also completely un-installed. Why having the Windows 8 Hyper-V feature installed breaks the BD HDCP PVP-OPM handshake is a mystery that AMD and Microsoft needs to explain.
I tried it on the 13.3 and I have none of the hyper-v turned on and I still got the same thing

I am in a very similar position here. The adviser says I fail to meet the requirements to play blurays while using my radeon hd 5750. This is the same card I was using on windows 7. So has anyone found a way to make it work as it gets very old not being able to watch movies

so first off the Bluray adviser says I fail the requirements to play blurays. This I know is incorrect as I have been playing blurays with my graphics card for awhile now. I own a Radeon Hd 5750 with the latest drivers. Now as for playback of any bluray I have moments where the playback will pause as if it were loading the resume, where it trys to catch up to where the movie should be as if there was no pause. the light on my disc drive will stop flashing when the pause/break happens and resumes when it passes. I have had this issue for as long as I have owned this software. Normally it happens very rarely. but recently it has been happening way to often. For example in the last 20 mins of the hobbit I counted 6 times when the playback stopped/paused. My system is up to date with all the latest windows updates, graphics cards updates and PD updates. I have gone as far as to try Corels player and have the same issues. I have done some searching and found people saying it may be corrupt or missing codec's with in my system. I have with in the past week completely reinstalled my OS and a fresh install of PD 9 so that I may do he upgrade to PD 12 ultra. I am at a loss on what to do

I have thought aboput that too. But why should i have to go and download another prgram when i paid money to be able to watch my dvd and blurays. Like i said in a post befor they need to work with the movie studios to make sure this doesnt happen

You would think being a major multimeadia company they would work with movie companies to make sure this is never an issue. It should be to hard to make a patch before the new encoding comes out thru the movie companies

So I got a new video card for my pc the otherday. I got a Radeon HD 5750. I wanted to know if it is a compatiable card for Bluray playback with the latest Power dvd 11.
So almost a month has gone by and I am still left with stuttering/skipping playback. I am waiting for the R/D to figure out what the issue is. One thing i have found is it seems that some of the codec may be missing from powerdvd. And thank you Andre for the info on the driver, but i could play all movies just fine with the current driver befor, so I am wondering why that has changed now. And rolling back a driver wont help me as I play PC games as well
So after 3 hours and 3 or 4 member of the R&D department there was no fix to my issue. I was told i would be contacted at some point and not informed on what the issue may be related to. I have gone as far as to wipe anything cyberlink off of my pc both in regular mode and safe mode. Reinstalled with no luck. Tho i did do a codec check and it seems that the cyberlink codec's are missing or broken. Anyone know of a fix for this? Maybe this is the main cause of my issues

DVDs work fine on the newest windows media player
I have tried at many diffrent resolutions even the native one. All seem to give me the same issue. befor this started to happen i could watch BD and dvds in this resolution
OK so i have a clean install of windows with nothing but the main programs needed to run(no AV or anything). And I have power dvd 11 on with all the updated drivers and patches and it still stutters.
OK so i am extremely stumped now. I did a reinstal of my windows os, and I am getting the same problems as befor. Now unless i have 2 faulty drives, one that has been unhooked and not used but working when last used. Or I am missing something driver or software wise, but any help would be great
I have tested it on bd dvd and files and it seems to happen on bd and dvds. I have tried a different disc drive and it happens on it as well, even with different sata cords and ports. I have tried to update to the newest beta driver as well as the current driver and have the same issues. I did not notice any processes running in the background that was eating cpu or ram, cpu stayed around 8 which it always has been. And as far as the AV and no net, well it still stuttered.(audio/video paused while the taming still went forward, then having the audio restart and the video jump to catch up after a few seconds.

For the past week or so I have been having terrible stuttering during play back. Every minute to minute and a half the video and audio cuts out for a few seconds. I have tried a clean install of powerdvd after running the cleaner. I have reinstalled my video and audio drivers. I have never had this issue before and can not think of a way to solve it. Has anyone had this issue before and if so how did you solve it?
