Aaah I get it now,
I was seeing a degregation in output quality as I was only previewing and my preview was set for standard resolution. But when I actually Render the movie the quality will be based on the Production output format I choose.
I really thought that 9.0 reduced the quality but it does not. It just has more preview options and if you choose the lower resolution all previewing will be in that lower resolution until the final rendor.
Thanks Again

Hello, and Sorry I think I am really loosing my mind in old age.
When creating a movie, slide show or using the movie wizard, if I set the preview screen to certain quality, Like: HD, Standard Preview, HD preview, etc... the output of the movie will be in that quality.
Has this always been the case? I cant seem to remember doing this in Versiion 8.0 When Clicking on the Produce button, I thought that is where you would define the quality.
I have to say x64 bit creating movie in FULL HD is amazingly fast!!!

I think I found the problem,
If I Preview in HD quality the pictures are perfect. The little preview screen wwhile editing a movie must be set to a high wquality preview in order to make the Movie high quality.
LOL... What a newbie I am to all this!!!!

When making sklide shows or adding pictures in this new version the quality is terrible!. I need to un-install this product and revert back to 8.0 as the quality in 8.0 is far better. I can take each version side by side using the same exact picture, and all slide shows, moviews, etc.. are MUCH better quality in 8.0

Hello,
I am so Jealous I dont even know where to begin!!!! Can someone PLEASE help me as I am totally in awe here.
Do you know how you can take a bunch of pictures and make a slide show just by clicking a button called slide show? Then choose a pre-defined template and MAN, HOLLY COW!!!!! awesome magic puts together some REALLY cool effects and with a sprinkle of music , boy , what a great movie!!
My Questions are:
1. Is there any where I can purchase more slide show templates for Powerdirector 8? Ill pay a good price for them!!!!
EX... Wedding Themes
2. Is it possible to make such a stunning slide show as those templates create by just using Power Director 8?? I mean those slide shows are Professional all the way!!! Could you make a slide show like that in Power Director 8 using your own theme?
3. Does anyone know where a tutorial on how to create a proffessional level slide show like what is built into Power Director 8 contains?
For the Money this is by far a VERY good piece of software . ThankS Cyberlink!!!!

Here is a great suggestion from one of the Links you provided:
Hi. Sometimes, I get the same error message. To avoid that, I don't burn the movie directly to a DVD. I'm burning it first to a folder. When this is done, I'm burning the content from this folder to a DVD with Imgburn
Have you tried this? Can you burn ditrectly from a file?

I would just like to say that I bought the full version of Powerdirector 8.0 and for the price I am very pleased. I do not feel that it is alot of money compared to some other products that sell for much more. I could never code a piece of software like this and so I am gratefull that for just under $100.00 I am able to create awesome home videos. That said, I also feel the pain of software in-compatibilities. I am a systems engineer and i have to admit, I have laid into Microsoft technicians on more than one occasion. Yes, I have completely lost it when I have become totally frustrated. I can understand frustration as I have been guilty of blowing up myself. Sometimes just walking away and coming back to an issue can lead into very Positive results.
Heres my recomendation:
1. Have you tried updating your DVD hardware with the latest drivers?
2. Walk into any Best Buy and Purchase a DVD burner, Perhaps even a USB one so that you dont have to open the computer case. See if it works..If Not you can return it for a FULL refund!!! No money wasted...
I know, you do have a DVD but if updating drivers dont work, try a different model. They are so cheap that your time is way more valuable than figuring out what the heck kind of driver issues or compatibility issues are happening with your current DVD.
Beleive me, I am sure that there is a DVD burner available that WILL work with your setup. But only purchase a DVD burner frm a repuatable store so that you can return it if it doesnt work..
My 2 cents...
