Hello, and Sorry I think I am really loosing my mind in old age.

When creating a movie, slide show or using the movie wizard, if I set the preview screen to certain quality, Like: HD, Standard Preview, HD preview, etc... the output of the movie will be in that quality.

Has this always been the case? I cant seem to remember doing this in Versiion 8.0 When Clicking on the Produce button, I thought that is where you would define the quality.

I have to say x64 bit creating movie in FULL HD is amazingly fast!!!

Hi Larryva

Welcome to the forum.

The preview window has NO output qualities to your finished project - it is merely a 'preview' so you can see what you are doing :

The output quality depends on a range of things like:

Imported video quality eg 1920x1080 AVCHD, 720x480 etc

Producing format

Burning to DVD or Blu-ray.

I hope this helps.

Happing editing

Best Regards

Neil

Aaah I get it now,

I was seeing a degregation in output quality as I was only previewing and my preview was set for standard resolution. But when I actually Render the movie the quality will be based on the Production output format I choose.

I really thought that 9.0 reduced the quality but it does not. It just has more preview options and if you choose the lower resolution all previewing will be in that lower resolution until the final rendor.

Thanks Again
