I have the same issue, was about to post the same thing, oddly though sometimes it will try to play but it just freezes up.

A physical disk plays fine - just tested on my win 7 machine it works fine

CyberlinkpowerDVD 12 media server monitor service
CLHNServiceforpowerdvd12

Exe's running with powerdvd12 open (i think i have them all, as theres loads!)

powerdvd12.exe
powerdvd12.exe
powerdvd12agent.exe
powerdvd12ml.exe
powerdvdv12DMREngine.ex
CLHNServiceforpowerdvd12
CLMSServerPDVD12.exe
CLMSmonitorservicePDVD12.exe

hope this helps, do you have a friend that has a andriod device? I would add that to your wireless and elimate a issue with the phone maybe? just to rule that out too. I take it your iphone is connected okay wirelessly to your home network?
I uninstalled everything again s/w wise and re-installed it this time it worked

only thing i have with the app now - same as before it could do with a resolution checker as the icons etc only half fit the screens etc - but main thing it works
Quote: thx for the answer whitehart!
So you have the same problem?

"I see that the OS say that the lan its not connected on internet,
but i think this is ok, i think....

I find the SSID of the Access Point, but when i try to connect it wont let me connect....
"

damn....so i think i have to switch back to 11?

Yes I think its the same issue, with 11 it found the name of my PC when searching, for some reason with 12 it doesnt, quite annoying
I actually think this maybe an issue with this version, as with 11 I was able to use this app, I'm no longer able to either and I'm pretty good with IT equipment (work in the Industry)

the only 2 things that have changed with this for me are

PowerDVD 11 to 12

Samsung galaxy S2 running gingerbread to ICS (beta, yes i know..however nothing else has an issue and it worked with 11)

So I'm having the same issue with andriod, to be honest I've had so much more trouble with 12 than i had with 11

the Hardware acceleration is mandatory for Blu-Ray playback in case the driver can support it.
There are no plans so far to change the current behavior

The point is it SHOULD NOT BE, whether or not the driver supports it. Hardware acceleration often makes video much worse - I NEVER use it, nor have I needed to use it. It is NOT MANDATORY with Arcsoft TMT 5 (which I now use). It is NOT MANDATORY with Nero MediaHUB, it is NOT MANDATORY with Roxio BD Cineplayer. I can't speak for WinDVD, since I haven't used that unstable mess since Corel took it over.

The point is: picture quality was one of the benefits of using PowerDVD, despite the fact you took away features because of pressure from Hollywood and forced features because of pressure from Sony. To put it simply, you used to be the best, IMO, but you have compromised yourselves because of loss of sales -- and these compromises will only make matters worse because they're costing you customer confidence as well.
With these FORCED settings the Blu-Ray picture quality is inferior to other options, it is grainy and pixelated in everything except bright scenes - that's the bottom line. So if, as you say, there are no plans so far to change the current behavior, then I have no plans to keep PowerDVD on my system or to return to it in the future.

Gone through exactly the same issue interesting, I have also now switched to TMT 5 because of this, I was about to post much the same as this thread
