PowerDirector v. 7 Build 3017? Transition jerkiness fixed?

I took the summer & fall off, and I'm back to the video slideshow business! Hopefully this will be an easy question. My current version of PD7 is 2227c patch over 2519 because of jerky transitions. Now there is 3017. Should I upgrade to that? It isn't clear from the info screen whether they fixed the jerky transitions in this update. A second question would be, what about PD8. Did it go away there? Thanks!

In my opinion, the jerky behaviour was vastly improved in 3017 for most but I would not exactly say it has been eliminated.
