Just want to thank the original poster. I just purchases a Pansonic tm900 and also just purchased PD 10 Ultra. So the info talked about here is very usefull to me, although its a little over my understanding at this point.

Thanks Dafydd and apologies for the late reply as I have been traveling (manly Kent, Egypt, Dubai) so have a bunch more footage and have only now had a chance to test...and I am glad I did! I'll have to check it out it more details but it looks great for 1080p users!

1) 1080p Profiles: These are now added and work just fine so there really is no need to manually edit the profile.ini file anymore. One thing I did notice is the default 5.1 Dolby Track in this profile is encoded at 448 instead of 384kbps so the files get a bit bigger.

2) SVRT: This is now my recommended settings and works as it should, you get SVRT on all segments of the Video both before and after a segment that requires to be rendered and I don't see or hear any issues on these transition points.

Very happy so what else have I missed?

EDIT: Testing the demuxing / remuxing of the SVRT output and have some further comments:
- tsMuxer still does not like the Audio stream (does not recognise it)
- when run through FixPD9 (demux with eac3to then remuxed with tsMuxer) you see issues at all the transition points between the copied and rendered segments of the video
- when remuxed to MKV you see some transition issues as well but it is not as bad and tends to be when going back to SVRT and the end of the rendered segment.
- I them went as far as to just remux the video stream and the issues is present in the raw ".h264" file.

So... I'd say for the majority of the users the issue appears to be "Fixed" but underneath the hood there is still some issues (i'm guessing) with the timestamps so,
1) I still don't recomend you use "FixPD9.bat)
2) If you think you will remux to another "container" then check it works first with you and most importantly
3) Check a sample SVRT file with you player as how the file plays depends on how the "splitter" reads the timestamps and delivers the streams to the Audio and Video renderer on your system. Some may still have issues.

Hi, I've uploaded a package at https://rapidshare.com/files/2096195095/SVRT.zip that contains the following:
1) Used "Pack Project Materials" to export the SVRT Test Files (Original M2TS, and a Title)
2) The folder also contains Produce.m2ts which was created using the std 1080/50p AVC template in "Produce"
3) The folder also contains output.m2ts which was created using the PD9FIX.BAT remux process on produce.m2ts

Notes:
- SVRT Test Project: This is a short segment filming a metronome app with a title flashing up.
- Produce.m2ts: Plays well on my PC and is good test for pjc3
- output.m2ts: It plays poorly with sync issues around the transition points.

Have fun! Other things you could try is remux to other things like mkv, or just remux the video stream and have a look at them etc....endless hours of joy!

Tried muxing the output.m2ts to MKV using the latest version of MKVMerge (GUI), http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/win32/mkvtoolnix-unicode-5.2.1-setup.exe

....the results were the same with transition issues with a target remux that had V&A and one with V only.

Hi there,

The audio rendering problem you are referring to may not be limited to 50/60p format only. I have Sony camcorder recording in AVC 1920x1080 60i format, and see the same issue. Please see my post at: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/20483.page

Some more testing and my recommendations (YMMV) at this stage are in order:
1) CPU Rendering: Slow but the most reliable output. While it does re-encode the Audio and Video streams it keeps everything in sync even with remuxing to other formats
2) GPU Rendering: Quicker than CPU rendering and while the native PD10 output looks good any remuxing brings out an AV Sync issue (I presume there is a timestamp mismatch between the Video encode done with the GPU and the Audio done on the CPU)
3) SVRT: I **really** want this to work as it is by far the quickest and a G'Tee of the quality for most of the video. While the PD10 output looks good, any remuxing shows issues at the transition points.

Pretty much a consistent statement since like PD6; yes some improvements along the way but still consistent SVRT issues at PD10. SVRT really plays havoc with the audio during any transition. The file "PD10 Audio.pdf" posted at http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/20483.page shows some of the transition inconsistencies with audio.

I'm sure it is all related issues. FYI - I did some more testing using the options in Edit --> Preferences --> Hardware Acceleration and while I can see the impact in the GPU (when the otions are checked the VPU engine is also used) there is no difference I can see to the results already posted.
