Even for two clips put back to back in a time line (i.e. simplest junction of two clips) SVRT has trouble rendering it. It produces distorted audio image and out of sequence frames. The audio image around junction point seems o be switching from 5.1 surround to Mono like sound. Rendered by SVRT frame sequence also produces very short but noticeable “play backwards” section in the rendered movie. This is particularly visible when there are moving objects in the frame. Because both issues are kind of hard to describe, I have attached short movie with examples. The movie was created using intelligent SVRT. In the time line SVRT displayed green line across all clips, indicating that no rendering would be required. ( see attached screen captures from PD10 for additional information)
In attached movie example you can notice that the cable car is going backwards for few frames before it continues to move forward. The same problem is visible on each clip whether original or trimmed by PD10. Changing the “Allow SVRT on single IDR H.264video” option does not seem to have any effect on described problems.
I am using PD10 ver 10.0.0.1129a ( Full version ) and
Sony HDR-CX500V recording in NTSC H.264 1920x1080/60i at 17 Mbps with 5.1 surround sound.
