PD17-Does not produce the whole timeline

Hello,

I have a project with a video and a music track added.

The music track is longer on my timeline than the video.

When producing the project (my whole timeline, being video + music+titles), the production stops at the video. Normally it must stop at the track music because it is longer. I tried to produce as an AVC (mp4) and AVI same outcome: production stop earlier.

How can I do to produce the whole of my timeline without being shortened?

Thanks.

Hi,

Can you give a bit more information, please. I have done some tests using PD17 and the produced videos include the sound track beyond the video pictures.

Thanks for your reaction Warry.

I am using 2 pists:

One of the video (Image+sound)
The other one, only music (longer than the previous one.

Here more about the version of pd17 I use:

PD 17 version: 17.0.2126.0
Versión: Ultra

Do you need any other information?

Thanks.

Why not add black level from the color boards after your video has ended so that PD sees a source to render along with the audio.

Is it possible you have disabled the longer track?
Be sure the track has a check-mark next to it's beginning. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

That indeed works. Thanks for your suggestion TDK1044.

As I have just bought the pd17 (I previously had the (pd12), I am quite worried that I would have to add a color boards in each of my editing.

Thank you Barry for your suggestion.

I confirm track is "abled": the music appear on my production but is litteraly cut at the same time of the video.

Well, my PD17 crashed once when I tried to replay your case. But in the replay and in all other tests the video went black and the sound continued. I even tried to produce with a gap between video and sound; with the sound in the video track off and the video in the sound track off, video first and sound below, and the other way around :

Maybe try and use the beta version 17.0.2224.0 just to be sure. Something must be different in your setup or approach?

I agree, working with colour boards is not ideal. You know what they say: if things cannot be done as they must, then they must be done as it can.

Many thanks Warry for your follow up. See me sorry that your pd17 crashed in the meantime.

Love what you said:"ou know what they say: if things cannot be done as they must, then they must be done as it can."

I contact them and it seems there might be a bug which will be fixed in a next parche.

Thanks again for your help and intention to help.

Very appreciated.

Hartelijk bedankt, Warry.

This was a bug in PD17 and release 2314 addressed.
