I didn't say "playback in full screen" is "identical" to exclusive mode.
Perhaps you need exclusive mode for your own specific purpose (e.g. color space BTB/WTW 0-255 displaying?).
For the color space, that's mostly by gpu implementation and processing on different version OS.
powerdvd does not have the options to enter exclusive mode specifically, only full screen or not full screen.
I don't understand what you mean.
When I was on windows 7 I think there was an option to disable Windows Aero within the Powerdvd bluray settings...? I remember a popup showing up saying:
"Playback cannot be enabled in windowed mode. For xxxx will be full screen only." I dn't remember it exactly. But it was a non Windows Aero popup. Almost like classic mode.
Or something like that. When I clicked yes, THAT was when you entered esclusive mode. You could not MINIMIZE the powerdvd window or a popup would show up saying:
YOU ARE ABOUT TO LEAVE EXCLUSIVE MODE ARE YOU SURE?
This "forced full screen" mode to my mind had much deeper blacks in full screen than the normal full screen mode.
Now since I changed my computer to a 8700K, 1080Ti and Windows 10 I no longer get the same "exclusive full screen option" option.
What do you mean with BTB/WTW 0-255?
I am running on an Epson 3D projector TW6700 which is rated at 10 bit color.
My nvidia control panel only offers 8bpc output color depth or 12 bpc. Someone said set it to 12bpc and the projector will handle the rest.
I also assumed I had to set it to "limited" dynamic range in Nvidia as opposed to "Full".
Do you know what any of that means?
