Won't Show mov Files in PowerDirector12

Hi,

Does anyone know why powerdirector12 would suddenly no longer show mov files that are on my computer?

Suddenly, when I go to "Import Media" and go to files on my computer that have mov files, the mov files do not appear, even though I have "all files" or "all files..." open.

This hasn't been a problem before and it has begun without me changing settings.

Thanks.

Not sure if this your problem, but for PowerDirector to deal with .mov files QuickTime needs to be installed. Check to make sure you have it. If you need to install it, ONLY download the LITE version.

Hope this helps Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Thanks for the advice, but I found no link or choice to download the "Lite" version, but I did download the basic version and, while older mov files show up, the ones I've uploaded to my computer this week still don't appear within a PowerDirector search, though they do show up and play in Windows 10.

Can I ask why you suggest only the Lite version?

Do you know why the new mov files still won't appear?

Thanks a lot. I appreciate your time and quick response to my first question.

Cheers.

One other thing you can try is to download and install the latest version k-lite codec package. There's a good chance it will help.
