Here's one I haven't come across before.
I imported several video clips, used Wave Editor to equalize audio across all clips so they all the same volume.
When I was done, I wanted to do some trimming but there are no editing tools in the edit area.
Any idea what happened to them?

Hi boongsong,

You might try this.
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/21351.page#113610

Note: This was posted for PD10, so some of the other info regarding Preferences is different in PD11’s new ripple editing interface. But the same principle of unlinking Audio that has been sent/saved via WavEditor still applies. Once unlinked, then when highlighting the video only portion of a timeline clip, will restore the Editing options/buttons.

EDIT: Well Cranston you beat me to it!! At least you posted a different link that you still answered the question!!hahahahahaha!!!

It is something that I have seen before.

Take a look at this link and read Cranston's entry at the end of the following topic. It will explain what you need to do to "avoid" the PowerTools vanishing after you edit the audio in Wave Editor.

Cranston explains it here:

I am pretty sure this will fix your problem. Now I am sure I have jinxed myself!!

Happy Easter!

Kevin

Hi capn n keven and cranston.
Thanks for the replies. Looked at both links. Then, went back to my project and followed the info in the links. I clicked on each clip, right clicked and "unlink video and audio". After that, clicked on the links and the tools reappeared.
Got everything back. The only thing is, when I reopen the project, all tools are missing until I click on a clip, then they reappear.
Got to be a "glitch" in the software. Wonder if CL is exploring a "fix" for that. Sure would be nice to be able to edit audio in Wave Editor and still be able to edit the clips.
What I will do now is, make my edits, the go back to Wave Editor and adjust the volumes again and see what I end-up with. All I wanted to do is make the volume the same level on all clips.
I guess we can call this one solved unless I have another issue on the same subject.
Again, thanks a million for the help.
Have a Happy Easter.

Well, I imported the clips, did my editing then clicked on Produce. Everything froze then PD11 closed and I got the CL Issue Reporter (see clip).
Don't know if the Wave editing had anything to do with the freeze or not.
I sure am having a lot of "hitches" with PD11. I think I will do the clean uninstall (using CL uninstaller) and reinstall with the backup disc I purchased and see if that will eliminate the problems I'm having. Could be the download from CL has some minor corruptions. At this point, I don't have any ideas/answers.

Hi boongsong,

Just curious to know. I get the same message when trying to produce when I have the Hardware Acceleration boxed selected in the produce area. If it is unchecked all goes well in producing the video file.

Hi cap'n kevin.
I checked and it had a checkmark in that box. I unchecked it but no difference. However, there are other things and I'm now back to square-one.
When I import the clips, the click on Produce, the produce window opens, I select WMV (see atch) and as soon as I click Start, the rendering window opens, nothing happens then the screen goes black and I get the error Display Driver Stopped Working and has Recovered but PD11 doesn't. I have to use Task Mgr to close it out.
That means I'm back to square-one having the same problem I had before (see previous post (http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/27639.page).
Can't tell you how frustrated I am with PD 11. Never had these problems with PD10.
As I said, I guess the only thing left is to uninstall and reinstall using the disc I purchased.
If anyone else has any ideas, I open to try anything. I know all my drivers, software, etc is up-to-date.
