PS3 HW Compatibility test with the 3305 patch installed:
- CPU Rendering: PS3 complained it was an unrecognised format and would not play. The FixPD9 version did play but it stuttered.
- GPU Rendering: As with PC Playback --> Good Audio Sync, No transition issues for the output. After running it through FixPD9 it showed a lipsycn issue with the audio
- SVRT Rendering: As with PC Playback --> Good Audio Sync, No transition issues for the output. After running it through FixPD9 it showed a terrible transition issues between SVRT and Rendered sections of the clip. Also the entire clip was not recognised as a valid file by tsmuxer.
I don't know what to recommend as there is not a single "good" option at present that suits all combinations. If you will never need to remux then either GPU or SVRT options seem OK to me on my equipment (HTPC and a PS3), but who knows how clips created now are going to behave on new equipment in the future given their poor compliance.
Anyway, at this stage I do not recommend using FixPD9 as you get a better result with the output from PD9 than trying to remux the streams.
