Has anyone seen this proplem? I've always had very good success with previous power director applications, but when i switched to 365, the application crashes when i start applying transitions. Any help would be appreciated. I have a project that i MUST complete by Wednesday. help, please.

Hi,

Please supply the exact version of PDR you are having the issue with.
https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97579.page#post_box_392512

The more detail you can give about the issue the better, a screen shot of your timeline would be useful and a screen capture of the steps leading to a crash would be even more useful.

Is there a specific crash message for example?

You could also post your DxDiag as an attachment. It may shed some light on the crash reports and your system environment.

Thank you for your response. I'm attaching the crash report. Power director 21 is the version i'm on.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks

The same is happening to me as well. I just updated to the newest version about an hour ago and I am not able to produce/export an edited video now. This is very frustrating. No other changes have occured. I was using Powerdirector 365 ealier this afternoon just fine until I decided to update to newest version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem still persists. Please advise.

Hi,

Ok, the crash report isn't as useful as your DXDiag for examining your system environment.

Please follow the instructions in the link to attach your DxDiag.

From the crash report, you are on PDR21.5.3001 on the subscription version, so you are on the latest version.

I think you have a 6th gen i5 and you might look at the latest driver from intel. You seem to be on DriverVersion="23.20.16.4973"
but there is a later version listed on the Intel site.

You may be able to use Intel's driver support assistant to help find if there is indeed a later driver for your system.

The screen captures I mentioned would still be very useful.

Hi,

@Barry17
@bh5213

You are both on Lenovo Intel based systems with either HD520 or HD620 graphics with a driver date of 2018.

I would recommend that you each submit a support ticket to get your issue formally into CL's system, in case there is a common factor that they can help with.

Meanwhile other members might have further suggestions to help out.

Thank you. I did issue a support ticket. Again I had no issues with Power Director yesterday until I decided to update to the latest version. Like another person posted, if it can't be resolved, can I get a link to be able to download the previouse version that I had.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no standard roll back pathway for the subscription version. The only way you could explore that route is to contact CS directly and explain the situation and see if they can provide a previous version.

Hi

After upgrading my PowerDirector 365 cannot be open anymore, it keeps on crashing after I open the file or after I click a new project.

You haven't provided any of details about your system, but you should first try uninstalling thenreinstalled PD365 and see if that helps. You won't lose any existing projects.

if that doesn't work, try the steps shown in this post which may resolve the issues (I'm assuming you have an nVidia GPU)
