I am struggling to find my way around the labyrinth of Video /DVD production. Try as I might the aged brain cell does not work when it is required.
I get confused at different terms used and am unsure in which direction I am going.
In my mind PD8 is wonderful but it does not respond in the ways I expect it should and I'm sure this is just ignorance on my part.
I have come to the conclusion I am in need of an 'Idiots Guide to making a DVD from Video files'.
Does any body know if such a publication exists please?

Your help and understanding will be valuable.

Maybe some of these helped. There is a "cross-over" of capability of PD7 to PD8 and I'm sure you'd benefit from reading the information I've linked you to.

What a lot of info you have provided Dafydd, I thank you very much.
It will keep me out of mischief for some while digesting the contents. Methinks indexed printed copies will make future referencing easier.

Ahhhh, yes but I didn't know a link to an idiot's guide, I just know how to make editors appreciate what they have through a visual medium

Please look up:

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/7958.page
Subject: PowerDirector - information we request and tasks to carry out.
PART A - name it
PART B - provide it
PART F - use them
PART E - an alternative
PART D - presentation is important

Part F is what I'd like you to think about. If you have a problem, take a screenshot and attach it to your new post. We'll then see, understand and be able to guide you quickly.
