Try doing what I said, using what vn800rider said to find what frame you want to split at. (thanks Adrian)

This will eliminate using the "Trim" window.

For me, I find the Trim window useless.

Here is what I do:

Use "Split" before and after the section you want to remove.

Left click on the unwanted section (in timeline) to select it.

Right click, then left click on "remove"
